How to Lift Mobile Toilets as a Whole

Admin October 08, 2026

The overall lifting of mobile toilets must be carried out strictly in accordance with regulations to ensure safety and stability. The specific steps and key points are as follows:

1. Preparation before Lifting: Confirm Equipment and Tools

The top of the mobile toilet should be equipped with 4 dedicated lifting rings, which are the core stress points for lifting. Before lifting, check whether the lifting rings are intact, free from rust or deformation, and ensure that their load-bearing capacity meets the requirements. At the same time, select an appropriate crane tonnage based on the number of toilet compartments:

  • 2-4 compartments: It is recommended to use a crane with a tonnage of 12 or above;
  • 5-6 compartments: It is recommended to use a crane with a tonnage of 16 or above;
  • 7 compartments or more: A crane with a tonnage of 20 or above is required. Insufficient crane tonnage may lead to equipment tilting or breaking during the lifting process, causing safety accidents. In addition, prepare a separate lifting strap of no less than 6 meters to connect the crane hook and the toilet lifting rings, and avoid using lifting straps that are too short or aged and damaged.

2. Lifting Operation: Standardize Connection and Steady Lifting

Connect the crane hook and the 4 lifting rings of the toilet one by one with lifting straps to ensure that each lifting ring is evenly stressed. When connecting, pay attention to the following:

  • Angle between the lifting strap and the lifting ring: Keep the lifting strap vertical to avoid excessive local stress due to angle deviation;
  • Fixing method: Use double buckles or special buckles to fix the lifting straps to prevent slippage;
  • Horizontal calibration: Before lifting, adjust the length of the lifting straps or the outriggers of the crane to keep the toilet in a horizontal state and reduce the risk of tilting. When lifting, accelerate slowly to avoid sudden force that may cause the toilet to shake or disengage from the hook. During the lifting process, arrange a dedicated person to direct to ensure coordination between the crane operator and the ground personnel.

3. Unloading and Placement: Control Speed and Angle

When unloading, keep the toilet descending steadily and try to maintain a horizontal position to avoid loosening of the lifting straps or damage to the toilet structure due to tilting. If the ground is uneven, lay wooden boards or steel plates in advance as a buffer to prevent the bottom of the toilet from directly contacting the hard ground and causing deformation. After placement, immediately check whether the toilet is stable, and do not remove the lifting strap connection until it is confirmed that there is no tilting or displacement.

Key Tips: Strictly comply with safety regulations throughout the lifting process, and prohibit overloading or违规操作 (non-compliant operation). In case of strong winds, heavy rain, or other severe weather conditions, suspend the lifting and fix the equipment to prevent accidents.
