How to Insulate Container Houses
Insulating container houses can be achieved through methods such as installing insulation panels, using polyurethane insulation technology, selecting appropriate materials, adding insulation layers, optimizing window and door designs, and paying attention to detail handling.

Installing Insulation Panels: Drill holes and secure them on the roof of the container house, then install insulation panels after laying a frame. This can effectively block most heat transfer, with an insulation efficiency of up to 80%. This method reduces heat radiation through physical barriers and is suitable for scenarios where the roof is directly exposed to sunlight. However, attention should be paid to the load-bearing capacity of the roof structure and waterproofing treatment.
Using Polyurethane Insulation Technology: Utilize a polyurethane high-pressure spraying machine to evenly spray the material onto the surface of the container body, forming a continuous insulation layer. This technology offers fast construction speed and short cycle times. The sprayed polyurethane layer has a low thermal conductivity coefficient, significantly enhancing the insulation performance of the container body, especially suitable for container houses with complex structures.
Selecting Appropriate Insulation Materials: Materials such as polystyrene boards, polyurethane foam boards, and rock wool boards have low thermal conductivity coefficients and excellent insulation performance. Among them, polystyrene boards are cost-effective but have average fire resistance; polyurethane foam boards have high closed-cell ratios and good waterproof and moisture-proof effects; rock wool boards have high fire resistance ratings and are suitable for scenarios with strict safety requirements. Selection should be based on the usage environment, budget, and fire resistance needs.
Adding Insulation Layers: Install external insulation layers (such as metal sandwich panels) on the exterior wall surface or internal insulation panels on the interior walls to form a double insulation barrier. For external insulation layers, consideration should be given to the secure connection with the container structure, while for internal insulation panels, attention should be paid to moisture-proof treatment to avoid internal condensation.
Optimizing Window and Door Designs: Use double- or triple-glazed windows to block heat conduction through air layers; install seals around windows and doors to reduce cold and hot air convection. This method can reduce heat loss by 20%-30% while improving sound insulation performance.
Paying Attention to Detail Handling: The joints of insulation materials, connection parts, and the junctions between the insulation layer and the container structure should be treated with sealant or special seals to ensure no gaps. Additionally, the fixing method of the insulation layer to the container should be checked to avoid detachment due to vibration, which could affect insulation performance.
