How to Install Prefabricated Beams in a House
The installation of prefabricated beams in a house must be carried out strictly in accordance with standardized procedures. The specific steps are as follows:

Positioning and Marking
Mark the control line for the length of the prefabricated beam's placement on top of the prefabricated column, with an error margin controlled within 10 millimeters. This line is used to determine the precise installation position of the beam, ensuring that the connection between the beam and the column meets design requirements.Erecting Support Frames
Install the support system for the prefabricated beams and composite floor slabs. The base of the supports should be padded with 20-millimeter-thick wooden pads to distribute pressure and prevent settlement. The support frames are constructed using 48-millimeter-diameter steel pipes, connected with couplings to form a stable structure. The main beams use steel pipes of the same specification, while the secondary beams use 50×100-millimeter square timbers, forming a layered support system. Adjustable bases are required at both the top and bottom for easy elevation adjustment.Lifting Prefabricated Beams
- Method 1: Use a lifting beam spreader for lifting. Secure the hooks to the preset lifting points on the prefabricated beam to ensure even force distribution.
- Method 2: Precisely lift and transport the beam using a crane in conjunction with steel cables. Suspend the beam between two foundation piles and manually guide the reserved holes at the bottom of the beam to align with the positioning lines on top of the columns.
During lifting, maintain the stability of the beam to avoid collisions with the support frames or other structures.
Unhooking and Initial Fixing
After the prefabricated beam is placed steadily on the support frame, slowly unhook it. At this point, check whether the beam is level to ensure there is no tilt or displacement.Elevation Re-measurement and Adjustment
Use a level to re-measure the elevation of the prefabricated beam, with an allowable error strictly controlled within 5 millimeters. If the error exceeds this limit, adjust the support height using adjustable bases until the requirements are met.Sequential Installation and Secondary Re-measurement
Install other beams in sequence according to the principle of "main beams first, secondary beams later; low ones first, high ones later". After each beam is installed, re-measure its elevation and position to ensure overall structural accuracy.Conditions for Removing Temporary Supports
After the installation of the prefabricated beams is complete, their temporary supports can only be removed after the strength of the post-poured concrete reaches the design requirements. This step is crucial; removing the supports too early may lead to structural instability or deformation.
Precautions:
- Before installation, inspect the appearance quality of the prefabricated beams to ensure there are no cracks, honeycombs, or other defects.
- The lifting points must be preset according to the design drawings, and random changes are strictly prohibited.
- Continuously monitor the stability of the support system throughout the construction process to prevent deformation of the frames.
