How to Install Mobile Toilets in Shops

Admin October 02, 2026

The installation of mobile toilets in shops should follow the following standardized procedures to ensure safety and proper functionality:

I. Pre-installation Preparation

  1. Site Planning
    • Ensure the installation location avoids low-lying areas prone to water accumulation, high-voltage power lines, and obstacles. Ensure the width of the access passage is ≥1.2 meters and reserve operational space (e.g., at least 0.5 meters clearance around the equipment).
    • If the shop has special size requirements, communicate with the supplier in advance for a customized solution.
  2. Material Inspection
    • Verify the model of the mobile toilet against the parts list, including sinks, flushing mechanisms, sewage pipes, door locks, etc. Check that the equipment is free from external damage and that internal facilities (such as water tanks and toilet bowls) are intact.
    • Confirm that all parts are present to avoid interruptions during installation.
  3. Tools and Personnel
    • Equip with tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, spirit levels, and sealants. If the equipment is heavy (e.g., over 200 kg), coordinate with a crane for assistance in moving it.
    • Arrange for 2-3 professional personnel, with one person responsible for command and coordination to ensure proper operation.

II. On-site Installation Steps

  1. Foundation Fixing
    • Hoist the toilet body to the designated location and adjust its levelness using a spirit level (deviation ≤3 mm) to prevent inconvenience in use or structural damage due to tilting.
    • Secure the bottom of the equipment with expansion bolts (for hard surfaces) or counterweights (such as sandbags, for soft surfaces) to prevent tipping.
  2. Water and Electricity Connection
    • Sewage Pipe Connection: Ensure the pipe slope is ≥2% to facilitate smooth drainage of sewage; if using a collection tank, reserve a cleaning passage.
    • Water Supply Connection: It is recommended to use a water pipe ≥DN20 in diameter, with water pressure meeting flushing requirements (usually ≥0.2 MPa). Test the flushing function and drainage sealability to prevent leaks.
  3. Detail Refinement
    • Install door curtains and non-slip mats, and check the flexibility of door locks and flush buttons to ensure smooth operation.
    • Clean and disinfect the interior, and place consumables such as toilet paper and air fresheners to enhance the user experience.

III. Post-installation Inspection

  1. Function Testing
    • Press the flush button three times consecutively to confirm smooth drainage and no odor backflow.
    • Step on the top of the equipment (excluding non-load-bearing areas) to check structural stability and prevent looseness.
  2. Document Delivery
    • Provide the customer with an Equipment Installation Acceptance Certificate, indicating the installation date, warranty period (usually 1-3 years), and usage instructions (such as water-saving mode operation and regular cleaning frequency).

IV. Safety and Regulations

  1. Installation Safety
    • Wear a safety harness for work at heights (e.g., over 2 meters), prohibit installation in windy conditions (≥Level 5), and stay away from open flames (such as welding areas).
  2. Construction Management
    • Designate a construction area and set up warning signs. Equip with lighting for night work to prevent collision or falling risks.
