How to Install a Container House
The installation of a container house mainly involves steps such as foundation preparation, main body assembly, interior decoration, and concealed work handling. The specific process is as follows:

1. Foundation Preparation
Ensure the ground is level. Pour a reinforced concrete foundation or brick foundation according to design requirements, controlling the deviation of the wall foundation axis size to no more than ±25mm and the wall height deviation to no more than 10mm. For multi-story structures, pre-embed drainage pipes and plan lifting points. Concrete piers can be set at the bottom to enhance wind and earthquake resistance. For example, a standard container house requires embedding the chassis first and fixing it with expansion screws, then installing horizontal supports and steel beam inner-penetrating structures.
2. Main Body Assembly
- Bottom Frame Installation: Connect the bottom corners of the container to the bottom beams with hexagon socket bolts, adjust the diagonal difference of the bottom frame to ≤3mm, and then tighten the bolts. When installing π-shaped secondary beams, fix them according to the positioning holes and reinforce them with round-head drill-tail screws at the top of the bottom beams.
- Wall and Roof Truss Assembly: After unfolding the main frame, install support rods, assemble steel beams one by one, and support them vertically with square tube columns. Correct the position of the steel beams with a plumb line. When installing exterior wall panels, reserve positions for doors and windows. After covering the roof panels, complete the closure of the roof system. For example, a foldable container house requires unfolding the main frame first, then installing the walls with doors and windows in sequence and tightening the screws.
- Floor Installation: Lay magnesium oxide board substrates along the 6-meter direction. After marking the centerline of the π-shaped beams with a chalk line, fix the floor with cross-flat-head dovetail screws, controlling the nail spacing to 300-350mm. The floor joints need to be sanded and brushed with PVC special adhesive. After laying the floor glue, expel the air and weld the joints if necessary.
3. Interior Decoration and Concealed Work
- Water and Electricity Installation: Pre-embed wiring pipes according to the design drawings, install sanitary ware and small hardware, and ensure that the waterproof layer construction complies with regulations. For example, a packing container house requires standardized water and electricity interfaces, which can be simply connected on-site for use.
- Decoration: Complete PVC扣板 ceiling installation (PVC ceiling panel installation), door and window sealing, and stair installation. Stair treads are fixed with steel plates or angle irons, and railing panels are connected with self-drilling screws. The acceptance of concealed work should focus on checking moisture-proofing, waterproofing, and electrical safety to avoid rework later.
4. Inspection and Adjustment
After installation, conduct an overall verticality inspection to confirm that the position of the steel beams is accurate without deviation, the doors and windows are well-sealed, and the floor is stable without shaking. For example, Zhongnan Steel Structure requires a self-inspection after the project is completed to ensure that all components are firmly connected and function normally.
