How to Fold Up a Mobile Toilet Tent

Admin October 08, 2026

The steps for folding up a mobile toilet tent are as follows:

  1. Clean the interior
Before folding, thoroughly check the inside of the tent to ensure no personal items (such as phones, keys, etc.) are left behind. Also, clean up any garbage, including toilet paper and waste, to keep the interior clean. Waste should be sealed in a dedicated garbage bag or container to prevent environmental pollution. If the tent is equipped with a chemical treatment device, follow the instructions for operation before cleaning.

  2. Disassemble components

    • Stakes: Rotate the stakes counterclockwise and slowly pull them out of the ground to avoid breaking the stakes or damaging the ground due to excessive force. If the ground is hard, use a tool to assist in loosening.
    • Guy ropes: Untie all the ropes connecting the tent to the ground or fixed objects. Sort them by length or color to prevent tangling. If the ropes are stained, wipe them with a damp cloth and let them dry.
  3. Fold the tent

    • Fold according to markings: Most tents have folding direction markings. Align the corners along the marking lines and gradually fold the sides and top. If the tent is large, fold it in sections: first compress the sides to the middle, then fold the top to the sides, and finally form a flat shape.
    • Alternative folding methods:
      • Foot-step method: Step on the semi-circle at the bottom of the toilet tent, press down on the top with both hands, and then push the sides inward to shrink the tent into a cylindrical shape.
      • Pole-folding method: Fold the two top support poles together, and do the same for the bottom poles. After standing the tent upright, bend the top poles towards the back of your hand, merge the two halves of the tent, press them tightly, and finally put them into the storage bag.
  4. Organize and store
Put the folded tent into a dedicated storage bag. If it is too large, adjust the folding angle or compress it in sections. Ensure that the zipper or straps of the storage bag are closed tightly to prevent the tent from falling out. Store it in a dry and well-ventilated place to prevent mildew or material aging.

Precautions:

  • Make sure the tent is completely dry before folding to avoid mildew caused by moisture.
  • Handle it gently during operation to prevent tearing of the support poles or fabric.
  • Regularly check the integrity of the storage bag and replace it promptly if it is damaged.
