How to Flush Mobile Toilets

Admin September 21, 2026

The flushing methods for mobile toilets vary depending on their types, mainly including water-flushing, waterless suction-flushing, recycled water flushing, and dry-packing types. The specific operations are as follows:

Water-flushing mobile toilets are equipped with independent water-flushing devices. The water tank is usually located at the top of the toilet, and a sewage tank is installed at the bottom. When in use, users trigger the flushing by stepping on a pedal or pressing a button, and the water flow flushes the waste into the bottom sewage tank. For daily maintenance, it is necessary to regularly check the water level in the tank, promptly replenish clean water by opening the valves of the hand-washing tank or clean water tank, and regularly contact professionals to suction and clean the sewage tank to prevent overflow or odor generation.

Waterless suction-flushing mobile toilets have no flushing devices, and the waste directly falls into the bottom sewage pool. For such toilets, it is essential to strictly monitor the number of users. When the designed capacity limit is reached, the sewage pool should be promptly cleaned using suction equipment to prevent overflow. Some models may be equipped with a simple flushing function, but it is only used for cleaning the inside of the pool body, not for flushing waste after each use.

Recycled water flushing mobile toilets adopt biological treatment technology. They decompose feces through intermittent aerobic and anaerobic reaction devices and add special biological strains to accelerate the degradation process. The treated water is filtered through multiple layers (such as sand filtration and activated carbon filtration) and then recycled for toilet flushing, significantly saving water resources. For such toilets, it is necessary to regularly replenish biological strains, inspect the filtration system, and clean the precipitated solid residues to ensure treatment efficiency.

Dry-packing mobile toilets have no flushing devices and use biodegradable or recyclable plastic bags to collect waste. After each use, the internal mechanical device of the toilet automatically seals the bag and replaces it with a new one, without the need for water flushing throughout the process. Such toilets are suitable for water-scarce or temporary use scenarios, but it is necessary to regularly replace the plastic bags and properly dispose of the waste to prevent environmental pollution.

Operation Precautions:

  1. Confirm the toilet type before use to avoid misoperations (such as attempting to flush a dry-packing toilet).
  2. For water-flushing and recycled water types, regularly check the water level and water quality in the tank to prevent blockages or equipment failures.
  3. For waterless suction-flushing types, strictly record the number of users and promptly clean the sewage pool.
  4. For dry-packing types, ensure that the plastic bag replacement mechanism functions properly to prevent leakage.

The specific operation method should be selected according to the design and configuration of the mobile toilet. It is recommended to refer to the equipment manual or contact the supplier for detailed guidance.
