How to Flush Mobile Public Toilets

Admin October 11, 2026

The flushing methods for mobile public toilets mainly include tank gravity flushing, foot-pedal flushing, and water storage tank replenishment flushing.

Tank gravity flushing: This is a relatively common flushing method. The tank is generally installed above the toilet cubicle and is connected to the toilet via a water pipe. Inside the tank, there is a piston device. When flushing is required, the water in the tank flows rapidly into the toilet through the water pipe under the force of gravity, using the impact of the water to flush away feces and other waste. After the flushing process is complete, the tank automatically starts to refill with water, preparing for the next flush. This flushing method utilizes the principle of gravity, has a relatively simple structure, provides a relatively stable flushing effect, and can meet basic toilet-flushing needs. It is widely used in many mobile public toilets with a stable water supply.

Foot-pedal flushing: To facilitate use and save water, some mobile toilets are equipped with a foot-pedal device next to the sink. When a user needs to flush the toilet, they simply need to step on this device, and water will flow out for flushing. The advantage of this flushing method is that it is easy to operate, eliminating the need to touch the flush button with hands, making it more hygienic, especially suitable for places with high hygiene requirements. Moreover, users can control the force and duration of stepping on the pedal according to actual needs, thereby controlling the amount of water discharged to a certain extent and achieving the goal of water conservation.

Water storage tank replenishment flushing: In some special places without a tap water supply, such as outdoor construction sites and large-scale outdoor event venues, mobile toilets use the method of water storage tank replenishment flushing. These mobile toilets are equipped with dedicated water storage tanks. When the water in the tank is used up, it is necessary to promptly replenish the water source from the water storage tank to the tank to ensure the normal use of the flushing function. Although this flushing method requires manual regular replenishment of the water source, in the absence of tap water, it can provide basic flushing guarantees for mobile toilets and meet people's toilet needs in special environments.
