How to Fix a Single-Person Portable Toilet

Admin September 28, 2026

The method for fixing a single-person portable toilet should be selected based on site conditions, usage requirements, and environmental risks. Common fixing methods and operational points are as follows:

1. Ground Anchor Fixing Method

Suitable for flat, hard surfaces (such as concrete or asphalt pavement). Operational Steps:

  1. Connect the fixing chains (straps) to the ground using expansion screws or ground anchor pins at the four corners or beneath the load-bearing structure of the toilet, ensuring the connection points are secure;
  2. If the site allows, embed concrete blocks or weight blocks at the bottom of the toilet. The depth of the ground anchors should exceed 30 centimeters to enhance pull-out resistance;
  3. After fixing, check if the connection points are vertically stressed to avoid loosening due to tilting. Applicable Scenarios: Construction sites, outdoor event venues, and other scenarios requiring long-term fixing.

2. Windbreak Rope and Diagonal Pull Fixing

Designed for windy areas (such as regions with frequent strong winds in summer). Operational Steps:

  1. Install windbreak ropes at the top of the toilet and fix the other ends to ground stakes or heavy objects (such as stones or sandbags);
  2. If the wind is strong, use a "井"-shaped diagonal pull method, tightening the main body of the toilet with nylon ropes or steel cables from different angles to form a three-dimensional stress structure;
  3. Regularly check the tension of the ropes to avoid a decrease in stability due to loosening. Applicable Scenarios: Windy areas in summer, such as Xinxiang, or temporary open-air event venues.

3. Additional Weight Scheme

Suitable for soft ground or temporary site restrictions. Operational Steps:

  1. Add heavy objects such as sandbags or water tanks inside or outside the toilet, for example, placing 2-3 sandbags weighing 20 kilograms on each side;
  2. If using a water tank, ensure the water injection is even to avoid overloading on one side;
  3. The weights should be symmetrically distributed to prevent tilting due to a shift in the center of gravity. Applicable Scenarios: Soft ground such as grass or sand, or short-term rental scenarios.

4. Foundation Fixing Operation (Professional Installation)

Requires operation by a professional team to ensure equipment stability. Operational Steps:

  1. Use a level to adjust the equipment, ensuring the horizontal deviation does not exceed 3mm;
  2. Fix the equipment with expansion bolts or weight blocks, ensuring the connection points cover the load-bearing structure;
  3. Conduct a stability test after installation, such as gently shaking to check the fixing effect. Applicable Scenarios: Rental of single portable toilets in areas such as Kaifeng, or scenarios with high safety requirements.

5. Site Pre-treatment (Preparation Before Fixing)

Key Steps:

  1. If the ground is soft, lay gravel or wooden boards in advance to form a solid foundation;
  2. If the ground is uneven, adjust the slope to 0.5%-1% to avoid equipment displacement due to water accumulation;
  3. After pre-treatment, clean the site to ensure no sharp objects damage the bottom of the equipment.

Precautions:

  • After fixing, regularly check if the device is loose. Reinforce in advance when rain or strong wind warnings are issued;
  • Extra attention should be paid to pipe antifreezing during winter installation, such as wrapping with insulation cotton or installing antifreeze valves;
  • Choosing a reputable rental company and cooperating with a professional fixing plan can significantly enhance safety.
