How to Fix Prefabricated Houses
Admin September 18, 2026
The fixation of prefabricated houses requires the adoption of methods such as structural support, local reinforcement, foundation strengthening, or material reinforcement, depending on the structural type, load requirements, and foundation conditions. Details are as follows:

1. Structural Support and Frame Reinforcement
By adding metal components to disperse loads and enhance overall stability.
- Angle Steel and Steel Beam Support: Lay steel components such as No. 20 I-beams at the beam-column junctions of single-story or low-rise prefabricated panel houses, secure them with bolts, and apply anti-rust treatment to effectively disperse loads and prevent local deformation.
- I-Beam Crossbeam Reinforcement: Install I-beam crossbeams between columns to form a cross-shaped structure, enhancing the hardness of the prefabricated panels and reducing the risk of floor bending due to concentrated loads.
- Frame Reinforcement: Install steel or aluminum alloy frames on the exterior walls of the house, fill the frames with reinforcing agents or sealing materials to improve the lateral resistance of the exterior walls, especially suitable for earthquake-prone areas.
2. Local Reinforcement and Node Repair
Targeted reinforcement for cracked or insufficient load-bearing parts.
- Local Cast-in-Place Reinforcement: Drill holes and insert steel bars in severely cracked areas of the prefabricated panels, pour concrete to form cast-in-place nodes, repair cracks, and enhance the connection between the floor slab and the beam.
- Increased Floor Slab Section Reinforcement: Pour a reinforced concrete adhesive layer not less than 40 millimeters thick on the surface and bottom of the prefabricated floor slab to increase the load-bearing capacity by expanding the cross-sectional area, suitable for scenarios where the floor slab thickness is insufficient or the load exceeds the standard.
- Carbon Fiber Cloth Reinforcement: Adhere carbon fiber cloth along the tensile direction of the prefabricated floor slab, set anchor points at the top, utilize its high-strength properties to enhance bending resistance, and the construction is convenient with minimal damage to the original structure.
3. Foundation and Subgrade Strengthening
Improve subgrade conditions and enhance foundation load-bearing capacity.
- Foundation Strengthening: Increase the foundation size, deepen the foundation, install steel mesh, or inject reinforcing agents and sealing materials to enhance the seismic resistance of the foundation, suitable for areas with foundation settlement or soft soil.
- Grouting Strengthening Method: Inject cement-based grout into walls or foundations to fill voids and enhance overall strength, preventing deformation or cracks caused by uneven foundation settlement.
4. Material Reinforcement and Seismic Isolation Technology
Enhance local strength by adding new materials or structures.
- Steel Mesh Reinforcement Method: Lay steel mesh on walls or floor slabs to increase overall strength and stability.
- Plywood Reinforcement: Add plywood on both the upper and lower sides of the floor slab, secure them with connectors to form an integral structure, improving bending load-bearing capacity and stiffness.
- Reinforcement Under the Floor Slab of Panel Houses: Add supporting structures under the prefabricated panels, such as installing profile steel along the four corners of the floor slab to change the four-sided support to eight-sided support, enhancing stability.
