How to Fix Mobile Toilets
Admin September 23, 2026
There are mainly two methods for fixing mobile toilets: using expansion screws and using counterweights, with the aim of preventing them from being blown over by the wind or shifting.

Fixing with Expansion Screws
Expansion screws are a common fixing device suitable for securing mobile toilets to hard surfaces such as concrete or asphalt floors. The specific operation steps are as follows:
- Determine the fixing positions: Select appropriate fixing points based on the size and structure of the mobile toilet. Usually, fix it at the four corners or the bottom frame of the toilet to ensure even force distribution.
- Drill holes: Use an electric drill to drill holes at the selected positions. The diameter and depth of the holes should match the specifications of the expansion screws. Generally, the diameter of the hole should be slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the expansion screw, and the depth should be sufficient to accommodate the expansion part of the screw.
- Install the expansion screws: Insert the expansion screws into the drilled holes and then tighten the nuts with a wrench or screwdriver. During the tightening process, the expansion part of the screw will expand outward and be firmly fixed to the hole wall, thereby securely fixing the mobile toilet to the ground.
Fixing with Counterweights
For floors where expansion screws cannot be used, such as soft floors or temporary sites, the method of fixing with counterweights can be adopted. The specific operations are as follows:
- Select appropriate counterweights: Counterweights can be concrete blocks, sandbags, or other heavy objects. Their weight should be selected according to the size of the mobile toilet and the wind conditions. Generally, the weight of each counterweight should be no less than 50 kilograms to ensure sufficient stability.
- Place the counterweights: Evenly place the counterweights around the bottom of the mobile toilet, as close to the edges of the toilet as possible to increase stability. If the mobile toilet is large or the wind is strong, the number or weight of the counterweights can be increased.
- Fix the counterweights: To prevent the counterweights from shifting during movement, use ropes or chains to connect the counterweights to the bottom frame of the mobile toilet, ensuring a tight fit between the counterweights and the toilet.
