How to Disassemble a Mobile Toilet Storage Box
Admin October 07, 2026
The disassembly of a mobile toilet storage box requires selecting the appropriate method based on its specific type. Common types include snap-button type, screw-fixed type, and foldable type. The specific operations are as follows:

I. Disassembly of Snap-Button Type Storage Box
- Locate the Snap Buttons: Snap buttons are usually located at the four corners or sides of the box body, designed as protrusions or recesses. Some models may have them hidden beneath decorative strips.
- Unlocking Operation: Use a flat-head screwdriver or plastic pry bar with a width of 5-10mm, insert it into the gap of the snap button at a 45-degree angle, and slowly twist until you hear a 'click' sound (with a force controlled within 5N·m). It is recommended to work in pairs, disassembling diagonally at the same time to avoid deformation of the box body due to unilateral force.
- Separate the Box Body: After unlocking all the snap buttons, lift the box body evenly with both hands to avoid lateral pulling that may cause the snap buttons to break.
II. Disassembly of Screw-Fixed Type Storage Box
- Screw Identification and Preparation: The screws are mostly black self-tapping screws (with a diameter of 3-5mm and a length of 10-15mm). Prepare a corresponding-sized Phillips screwdriver. If the screws are rusted, drip some white vinegar and let it sit for 10 minutes to soften the rust layer.
- Removal Sequence:
- Prioritize removing the screws on the top cover (usually 2-4 screws), and then handle the fixing screws at the bottom;
- The screwdriver should be inserted vertically to avoid applying force obliquely, which may cause the screws to slip;
- Use a magnetic tray to collect the removed screws to prevent loss.
- Separate the Components: After removing all the screws, gently tap the edge of the box body to loosen the sealant, and then separate the box body from the fixing frame.
III. Disassembly of Foldable Type Storage Box
- Unlocking Mechanism:
- Press the red-marked buttons on both sides while lifting the handle upwards;
- Some models may require releasing the bottom safety latch first (such as rotating it 90 degrees or pulling it outwards).
- Folding Operation: Push the side panels along the direction of the arrows marked on the box body to fold the hinges to the designed position. Do not fold in the reverse direction, as this may damage the hinge structure.
- Storage State: After folding, check that all components are securely fastened to prevent them from coming loose during transportation.
Precautions
- If the box body is marked with a 'non-removable' label (such as some vehicle-mounted storage boxes), forced disassembly may void the warranty or cause structural damage.
- When disassembling the entire mobile toilet, prioritize disconnecting the water, electricity, and sewage pipes, and then decompose the main structure (such as the roof, wall panels, and chassis). Refer to the general disassembly specifications for the specific process.
- Wear anti-slip gloves before operation and ensure the environment is flat to avoid the box body breaking due to uneven force.
