How to Build a Prefabricated Housing Platform

Admin September 18, 2026

The construction of a prefabricated housing platform should be systematically advanced from aspects such as construction plan organization, construction steps, quality control, and safety assurance. Details are as follows:

I. Construction Plan and Organization

A professional construction team needs to be formed, with clear personnel responsibilities: The project manager is responsible for overall coordination and schedule management; the technical leader reviews design drawings and guides technical implementation; the construction workers carry out on-site operations; the quality inspector monitors material and process compliance; and the safety officer identifies potential hazards and organizes safety training. Material selection must strictly adhere to national standards. For example, steel structures should comply with the GB/T 700-2006 Carbon Structural Steel standard, and concrete prefabricated components should meet the GB/T 51231-2016 Technical Standard for Prefabricated Concrete Buildings. Construction equipment should be configured according to the process requirements, such as excavators and road rollers for foundation treatment, cranes and electric drills for prefabricated component installation, and welding machines or high-strength bolt tools for connection and reinforcement.

II. Construction Steps

  1. Foundation Treatment: Clear debris from the site and use a road roller to compact the ground in layers until the foundation bearing capacity reaches ≥150 kPa. For soft soil foundations, replace with crushed stone or drive in pile foundations.
  2. Support Frame Construction: Position the support frame according to the design drawings, using H-section steel or steel pipes welded into a truss structure. Use a level to calibrate verticality and horizontality, with an error controlled within ±3 mm.
  3. Prefabricated Platform Installation:
    • Steel Platform Floor: Lift the prefabricated panels above the beams, slowly lower them into the slots for initial fixation, connect them with M16 high-strength screws with a torque value of 80-100 N·m, and finally lock the beams and floor panels with M20 bolts.
    • Concrete Platform: Use a block-by-block lifting method, fill the joints with cement-based grout, vibrate densely, and cover for curing for 7 days.
  4. Commissioning and Acceptance: Check the platform's levelness, connection node strength, and load capacity. Verify safety through simulated loading tests and sign delivery documents after acceptance.

III. Construction Quality Control

Materials entering the site must be inspected for certificates and test reports. For example, steel should provide tensile test data, and concrete should be tested for 28-day compressive strength. During construction, implement a "three-inspection system": self-inspection by the team, mutual inspection by adjacent processes, and special inspection by the quality inspector. For key processes such as welding, retain non-destructive testing reports, and randomly inspect 5% of bolt connections for torque retesting.

IV. Construction Safety

Construction personnel must wear safety helmets, non-slip shoes, and safety harnesses. Safety nets should be erected for high-altitude operations. Set up warning signs on-site and divide the area into material storage and work zones to avoid cross-interference. Conduct safety briefings before starting work each day, emphasizing risk points for lifting operations, such as prohibiting overloading and staying under the lifting arm. Regularly inspect the wear of equipment wire ropes and replace them immediately if the wear reaches 10%.
