How to Build Prefabricated Cement Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

There are mainly two methods for constructing prefabricated cement houses: modular assembly and on-site pouring.

Modular Assembly Construction Method

This method involves assembling pre-made cement modules using cranes, similar to assembling building blocks. These cement modules are made of reinforced concrete, with steel bars providing strong tensile strength and concrete offering good compressive performance. The combination of the two ensures the quality of the modules. Since the modules are prefabricated in advance, only assembly is required at the construction site, significantly shortening the construction time and enabling rapid construction. For example, in emergency housing projects or projects with tight deadlines, this construction method can quickly meet demands, allowing people to have habitable houses in a short period.

On-site Pouring Construction Method

  • Foundation Treatment: First, excavate the foundation pit, which serves as the basis for house construction. Thoroughly mix cement and sand in a mixer to form a uniform cement mortar. Then, pour the mixed cement mortar into the foundation pit and level it with a small shovel to ensure the flatness and compactness of the foundation.
  • Column Construction: Place molds on the leveled cement foundation and continue to pour cement into the molds. Insert rods at the column positions in the foundation pit to enhance the robustness of the columns and improve the overall stability of the house. After the cement solidifies, remove the molds, and the columns are completed.
  • Roof Construction: After the columns are ready, start constructing the roof by placing roof panels on the columns, relying on the columns to support the roof and prevent collapse. Continue pouring cement on top of the roof and level it with a small scraper to ensure the flatness of the roof. After removing the mold boards, the second-floor slab construction is completed.

Additionally, the construction efficiency of cement 'prefabricated houses' in rural areas of Henan is extremely high, with a villa being completed in just four hours and a high-rise building emerging from flat ground in two days, fully demonstrating the efficiency of constructing prefabricated cement houses. However, in actual construction, regardless of the construction method used, it is essential to strictly follow relevant building codes and standards to ensure the quality and safety of the house.
