How to Build a Mobile Container House

Admin September 15, 2026

Building a mobile container house requires completing steps such as selection, foundation treatment, main body installation, interior decoration, and acceptance and maintenance in sequence. Details are as follows:

Selection Phase

Choose the structural type according to the usage scenario. The welded integral box is welded into shape as a whole in the factory, with a direct force path and strong resistance to deformation, suitable for scenarios requiring frequent lifting and moving. The bolt-connected assembled box uses standard plates connected by bolts. It is necessary to check the steel wall thickness of the columns and bottom beams (common specifications range from 1.5 mm to 3 mm). The thicker the wall thickness, the greater the load-bearing redundancy, but the self-weight also increases accordingly. In addition, attention should be paid to the wind resistance level (national standard requires above level 8), fire resistance performance (national standard requires above B1 level), and transportation efficiency (the smaller the folded volume, the greater the single transportation volume).

Foundation Treatment

Plan the foundation flatness in advance and embed drainage pipes to avoid later tilting or water accumulation problems. For outdoor long-term use scenarios, steel frames should be used to reinforce the corners, concrete piers should be made at the bottom, and then combined with anti-corrosion wood exterior wall treatment to improve durability.

Main Body Installation

  1. Steel Frame Welding: Weld channel steel around the chassis, use square steel for the crossbeams, and use square steel for full welding of the columns and roof ring beams.
  2. Color Steel Plate Splicing: The wall and roof panels are combined with purified plates. Sliding windows are installed at the windows, a special color steel plate door is used for the door, and building formwork is selected for the chassis to enhance load-bearing capacity.
  3. Waterproof Treatment: The waterproof glue for the roof panels should be glass curtain wall waterproof glue, which has 5-6 times stronger waterproof performance than traditional glue.

Interior Decoration

  1. Floor Treatment: Lay a layer of high-grade floor leather on the chassis floor to enhance warmth and waterproofing.
  2. Circuit Installation: Install lighting fixtures, switch sockets, and reserve air conditioning holes. The lighting fixtures are installed in the middle of the house, the switches are installed beside the door, and the sockets are installed 60 cm above the ground.
  3. Safety Measures: Install window security grilles and apply waterproof glue to the windows, doors, and roof panels.

Acceptance and Maintenance

After installation, check the structural stability, waterproof performance, and circuit safety. During daily use, regularly check the steel rust situation, the aging degree of the waterproof glue, and whether the circuit connections are loose to ensure safety in use.
