How to Build a Container House
The construction of a container house requires scientific planning and standardized construction, mainly divided into the following steps:

1. Preparation and Planning
Determine the construction plan based on actual needs, including the functional zoning of the house, the number of containers, and the stacking method. When designing the drawings, follow the principles of mechanical structure to ensure the stability after stacking, such as avoiding excessive overhangs or center-of-gravity shifts. At the same time, clear the construction site, fill in historical foundation pits and gullies, and use a road roller to compact and level the ground, providing a flat foundation for subsequent construction.
2. Foundation Treatment
Determine the depth of the foundation according to the design requirements of the house. If no basement is involved, it is usually sufficient to dig to a depth of half a meter. Use baffles to enclose the foundation mold, ensuring that the dimensions match the projection of the container's bottom, and then pour concrete to form a platform. The foundation must ensure levelness to avoid uneven force on the container due to ground inclination, which may lead to structural deformation over long-term use.
3. Installation of the Bottom Frame
Build the bottom frame of the container on the concrete platform. The frame should be made of high-strength steel or standard profiles and fixed by welding or bolt connections. The function of the frame is to disperse the weight of the container, avoiding excessive local pressure that could damage the foundation, and providing a reference surface for subsequent installations.
4. Container Installation
Stack the containers according to the design drawings and use specialized bundling tools (such as high-strength steel cables and locks) to secure the connection points of adjacent containers. When stacking, pay attention to aligning the corner fittings of the upper and lower containers to ensure uniform force transmission in the vertical direction. If multiple layers are required, add horizontal support structures in the middle layers to enhance overall stability.
5. Detail Handling
When installing water supply and drainage pipes, plan the pipeline route in advance, reserve holes in the container walls, and connect PVC or metal pipes to the municipal pipe network or water storage equipment. Gas pipelines should be installed by professionals to ensure airtightness. When covering insulation boards, choose polystyrene foam boards or rock wool boards and paste them on the inner and outer walls of the container to reduce heat conduction. If underfloor heating is required, lay an insulation layer on the ground, install heating pipes, and then pour a cement leveling layer.
6. Wall and Exterior Treatment
To enhance wall strength or sound insulation, enclose a wall frame with foam boards on the outer wall of the container, fill it with concrete or lightweight aggregate, and form a composite wall. Alternatively, decorative panels (such as wood veneer or metal panels) can be directly installed on the surface of the container to improve aesthetics. When treating the exterior, pay attention to waterproofing and apply sealant at the joints to prevent rainwater infiltration.
