Installation of Housing Container Prefab Houses

Admin September 17, 2026

The installation of housing container prefab houses requires adherence to scientific and standardized procedures, with attention to key construction details. The specific steps and precautions are as follows:

I. Installation Steps

  1. Foundation Treatment
Thoroughly level the foundation around the installation area and the partition walls. It is recommended to use reinforced concrete for foundation pouring. This step enhances the overall structural stability, preventing house deformation or loosening of connectors due to uneven ground. Ensure that the ground bearing capacity meets design requirements, especially in areas with soft soil foundations where reinforcement is necessary.

  2. Framework Construction
Install columns and connect them with transverse beams to form a frame structure. Columns must be fixed vertically, and high-strength bolts should be used at the connections of transverse beams to ensure the overall rigidity of the framework. After framework construction, check for verticality and levelness, with deviations controlled within allowable norms.

  3. Exterior Wall and Door/Window Installation
Install exterior wall panels and door/window frames sequentially. Exterior wall panels should be made of materials that meet waterproof and fireproof standards, with attention to sealing the joints between panels to prevent rainwater infiltration. Door/window frames must be firmly connected to the walls, and insect screens or sealing strips should be installed at opening sections.

  4. Floor Installation
Lay flooring materials on the framework, with common choices including moisture-proof wooden floors or composite floors. Before laying, install a moisture-proof layer on the framework. Reserve expansion joints between the floor and walls to prevent deformation due to temperature changes.

  5. Roof Truss and Roof Panel Installation
Ensure that the roof truss installation meets drainage slope requirements. Seal the joints between roof panels with special sealants or waterproof membranes. In humid and rainy areas, install inverted V-shaped canopies or gutters on the roof to prevent water accumulation and leakage.

  6. Accessory Completion
Install hardware such as door/window handles and locks, as well as internal facilities like sanitary ware and electrical systems. Electrical wiring should use flame-retardant conduits, with sufficient socket outlets reserved. Sanitary ware installation must include proper waterproofing to prevent leakage from affecting structural safety.

II. Precautions

  1. Control of Hidden Works
Strictly inspect the installation of water and electrical circuits, as well as moisture-proof and waterproof treatments. Waterproof layer construction should adopt the 'three-coat, two-layer' process, with materials meeting national standards. Electrical wiring should be controlled by separate circuits to prevent overloading and fire hazards.

  2. Drainage and Water Supply System Design
The installation area's ground should be higher than the surrounding terrain, with circular drainage ditches excavated. The water supply system can be connected to the municipal network or equipped with an independent water tank, which should be regularly cleaned and disinfected to prevent secondary pollution.

  3. Thermal Insulation Measures
After the house body is fixed, fill the gaps between the walls and roof with soundproof and thermal insulation cotton, with a recommended thickness of no less than 50mm. Install vibration-damping brackets for air conditioning outdoor units to prevent vibration from affecting structural stability.

  4. Lightning Protection and Safety Measures
Install lightning rods in mountainous or wilderness areas, with a grounding resistance of less than 4Ω. Weld railings on staircases, balconies, and other open areas, with a railing height of no less than 1.1m and a spacing between intermediate horizontal bars of no more than 0.5m.
