Household Outdoor Mobile Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

A household outdoor mobile toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole, providing toilet services to the public and customers, with advantages such as mobility, modularity, and ease of transportation.

I. Basic Components Mobile toilets are typically composed of fecal sewage storage tanks (or disposal units), floor slabs, sanitary fixtures, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile units. Among them, the fecal treatment system is the core component. Water-flush toilets require water tanks and sewage pipes, while non-water-flush toilets rely on dry packing or suction devices. The mobile unit includes wheels, lifting rings, or towing structures to ensure rapid relocation of the equipment.

II. Common Types

  1. Rustic-style Mobile Toilet: The roof features a thatched ridge design, with a rain-proof area at the front equipped with public washbasins and beauty mirrors. The wall panels and doors are uniformly colored, and the men's toilet has partitions, making it suitable for scenic spots or rural settings.
  2. Double-roof Mobile Toilet: It has an overall double-roof design, with exterior walls made of heat-insulating gold-carved panels. The front wall has translucent windows, and the men's and women's sections are clearly divided, with a public washing area in the middle. The women's toilet is equipped with ventilated squat toilets, making it suitable for cold or high-light areas.
  3. Modular Mobile Toilet: Composed of two independent units, it is transported separately and assembled on-site, solving the problem of limited space. It is commonly used in temporary events or narrow spaces.

III. Evolution of Materials and Structures Early mobile toilets were mainly made of wood, which was prone to decay and odor absorption. Modern products widely use lightweight and high-strength materials such as fiberglass and polyethylene, which are corrosion-resistant and easy to clean. They can be classified by structural form into single-unit structures (independent units) and composite structures (multi-module combinations); by mobility into lifting types (requiring lifting equipment), handling types (manual or small machinery), and powered towing types (connectable to vehicles for towing); and by sewage treatment method into water-flush types (requiring a water source), non-water-flush suction types (regular cleaning of fecal storage tanks), recirculating water-flush types (sewage purification and reuse), and dry packing types (sealed collection of feces).

IV. Application Scenarios Due to their flexibility and environmental friendliness, mobile toilets are widely used in temporary events (such as music festivals, sports events), construction sites, tourist attractions, and natural disaster emergency rescue scenarios, effectively solving the problems of long construction periods and high costs associated with fixed toilets.
