Process of Replacing House Prefabricated Slabs

Admin September 18, 2026

The replacement of house prefabricated slabs can be divided into two scenarios: replacing with new prefabricated slabs and converting to cast-in-place slabs. The specific processes are as follows:

Process of Replacing with New Prefabricated Slabs

  1. Pre-construction Preparations: Conduct a detailed investigation of the existing building's floor slab structure, material properties, and usage conditions. Based on the investigation results, formulate a targeted construction plan. Prepare new prefabricated floor slabs that meet relevant standards and design requirements, and equip appropriate construction machinery and equipment, such as cranes and transport vehicles. Additionally, provide technical training and safety education to construction personnel to ensure a safe and orderly construction process.
  2. Floor Slab Removal and Transportation: Use professional equipment to remove the existing floor slabs. Exercise extreme caution during the removal process to avoid damaging the surrounding structures. Properly stack the removed floor slabs to prevent damage to the slabs themselves and the surrounding environment. Subsequently, use cranes or transport vehicles to safely and stably transport the removed floor slabs to the designated location.
  3. New Floor Slab Installation and Positioning: Determine the installation positions and quantities of the new floor slabs according to the construction drawings and design requirements. Use a crane to hoist the new floor slabs to the designated positions, ensuring stable and accurate installation. After installation, temporarily fix the floor slabs to prevent displacement or tilting during subsequent construction processes.
  4. Connection and Fixing Measures: Use dedicated connectors to fix the newly installed floor slabs, ensuring a tight connection between the slabs and the surrounding structures. Reinforce the connection areas to enhance the overall stability and load-bearing capacity of the floor slabs. Finally, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the fixed floor slabs to ensure a secure connection and the absence of safety hazards.
  5. Quality Inspection and Acceptance: Conduct a comprehensive quality inspection of the newly installed floor slabs, covering aspects such as flatness, dimensional accuracy, and connection quality. Invite relevant departments and experts to conduct acceptance inspections to ensure that the floor slab replacement work meets design requirements and relevant standards. If any issues are identified during the acceptance process, timely rectification is required to ensure the safety and usability of the floor slabs.

Process of Converting to Cast-in-Place Slabs

Step 1: Remove the prefabricated slabs and clear the floor surface. Step 2: Install floor formwork, ensuring the surface is flat to serve as support for the cast-in-place slabs. Step 3: Install and tie steel bars on the floor surface, ensuring all steel bars are inserted and welded into the walls and columns. Step 4: Pour concrete and wait for it to dry naturally before removing the formwork.
