Animation of House Prefabricated Slab Reinforcement
Admin September 18, 2026
No direct animation showing the reinforcement of house prefabricated slabs has been found yet, but the principles and common methods of prefabricated slab reinforcement can be introduced.

Principles of Prefabricated Slab Reinforcement
During long-term use, prefabricated slabs may experience insufficient load-bearing capacity due to increased loads, structural aging, and other reasons. The principle of reinforcement is mainly to enhance the load-bearing capacity and stability of the prefabricated slabs by increasing the cross-sectional area of the structure, improving the strength of the materials, or changing the load transfer path of the structure, so that they can meet new usage requirements.
Common Reinforcement Methods
- Carbon Fiber Sheet Reinforcement: Using carbon fiber sheets for cross-reinforcement at the mid-span of prefabricated slabs is a common and effective method. Carbon fiber sheets have advantages such as high strength, light weight, and corrosion resistance. When pasted on the surface of the prefabricated slabs, they can work together with the concrete to improve the flexural load-bearing capacity of the slabs. When pasting carbon fiber sheets, it is necessary to first treat the surface of the prefabricated slabs to ensure it is flat and clean. Then, apply a special structural adhesive and evenly paste the carbon fiber sheets on the surface, followed by compaction to ensure the bonding quality between the carbon fiber sheets and the concrete.
- Polymer Mortar Filling Reinforcement: For areas such as the edges of the supports of prefabricated slabs, polymer mortar can be used for filling reinforcement. Polymer mortar has good bonding performance and durability, and can fill the gaps between the prefabricated slabs and the supports to enhance the overall integrity of the structure. When filling with polymer mortar, it is necessary to first clean the gaps, remove loose concrete and debris, and then mix the polymer mortar according to a certain ratio. Fill it into the gaps and level it to make it flush with the surface of the prefabricated slabs.
- Section Enlargement Reinforcement Method: If the load-bearing capacity of the prefabricated slabs is severely insufficient, the section enlargement reinforcement method can also be used. This method involves adding a layer of reinforced concrete on the surface of the prefabricated slabs to increase the load-bearing capacity by increasing the cross-sectional area of the structure and the reinforcement ratio. When performing section enlargement reinforcement, it is necessary to first chisel the surface of the prefabricated slabs to enhance the bonding force between the new and old concrete. Then, bind the reinforcement, set up formwork, pour concrete, and carry out curing.
