House Prefabricated Module Installation Tutorial
Admin September 18, 2026
The installation tutorial for house prefabricated modules varies depending on the type of house. Common types include EPS modules, single-story light steel structures, and assembled container houses. Here are the specific installation steps:

Installation Steps for EPS Module House Construction
- Design and Planning: Develop detailed construction plans, drawings, and architectural blueprints based on housing needs and design requirements. Clearly define key information such as house dimensions, layout, and structure to provide accurate guidance for subsequent construction.
- Manufacturing EPS Modules: Prefabricate modules of different sizes and shapes, such as wall panels and roof panels, in the factory according to design requirements. Ensure that the quality and precision of the modules meet standards.
- Foundation Construction: Prepare the construction site by excavating the foundation, implementing drainage, and conducting earthwork. Ensure the stability and load-bearing capacity of the foundation to provide reliable support for house construction.
- Installing EPS Modules: Assemble the prefabricated modules according to the design plan, connecting them through splicing or bonding to form the house skeleton. Ensure tight and secure connections between modules.
- Structural Completion: Install electrical, plumbing, and ventilation systems while reinforcing and waterproofing walls, roofs, and floors to ensure the functionality and safety of the house.
- Interior and Exterior Decoration: Perform decoration work such as plastering, painting, and tiling on interior and exterior walls, along with other interior renovations, to enhance the aesthetic appeal and comfort of the house.
Installation Steps for Single-Story Light Steel Structure Houses
- Foundation Treatment and Embedding: Use strip or independent foundations and accurately embed anchor bolts according to design drawings, with a position deviation controlled within ±2 millimeters to ensure foundation accuracy and stability.
- Lifting and Fixing Wall Modules: Use a small crane or forklift to erect factory-assembled sheet wall modules, align them with anchor bolts, and slowly lower them while following the principle of 'corners first, then sides, and symmetrical force application.' Temporarily fix them with diagonal braces.
- Interspersed Installation of Roof Trusses and Purlins: Start from the gable end and sequentially lift prefabricated triangular truss roof trusses. Immediately lay purlins and roof steel plates after installing every two trusses to ensure the stability of the trusses and the waterproofing of the roof.
- Corrosion and Sealing Treatment of Connection Nodes: Apply special zinc repair paint to bolt connections. Use waterproof breathable membranes and sealing tapes in layers at the junctions between exterior wall panels and foundations, as well as around door and window openings, to prevent corrosion and leakage.
- Pre-embedding of Water and Electricity Pipelines and Process Connection: Confirm the pre-embedding diagram of water and electricity pipelines in advance and confirm the locations of sockets, switches, and water supply and drainage points before wall paneling to ensure the normal operation of the water and electricity systems.
- Industry Standards and Precautions: According to the 'Technical Specification for Low-Rise Cold-Formed Thin-Wall Steel House Construction' (JGJ 227-2011), the design must meet seismic, wind, and fire resistance requirements. Communication about the reinforcement of keel settings should be conducted in advance.
Installation Steps for Assembled Container Houses
- Site Preparation: Choose a flat foundation, ensure the ground is solid and has good drainage, and clear debris to provide good basic conditions for house installation.
- Transportation and Unloading: Unload container modules made of steel frames and insulation materials from transport vehicles and categorize them for easy subsequent installation.
- Foundation Installation: Use professional tools to fix the base according to the design drawings to ensure structural stability and provide reliable support for container modules.
- Module Assembly: Arrange container modules in the order specified in the design drawings and fix them with preset locks or bolts to ensure secure connections between modules.
- Installing Doors and Windows: Install pre-set doors and windows at the corresponding positions, paying attention to sealing and safety to improve the living comfort of the house.
- Interior Renovation: Install water and electricity pipelines, renovate walls, floors, and ceilings, and add furniture and living facilities to make the house livable.
- Final Inspection: Confirm that all components are securely installed and meet safety standards before acceptance and occupancy to ensure the safety and reliability of the house.
