Production of House Container Prefab Houses

Admin September 17, 2026

The production of house container prefab houses mainly includes steps such as container body modification, structural construction, installation and fixation, and thermal insulation treatment.

Container Body Modification: Select treated containers as the primary material, which is the foundation of production. To facilitate subsequent construction and meet the structural requirements of the house, the containers are cut, with the bottom and one side removed. This makes lifting and transportation relatively easier. At the same time, additional crossbeams are added inside the containers to enhance their structural stability and provide strong support for subsequent house construction.

Structural Construction: The house usually consists of two floors. For the first floor, two containers are connected end-to-end, and horizontal steel beams are added at the bottom of the containers. These steel beams serve as load-bearing and supporting elements, ensuring the stability of the house structure. At the top where the two containers are connected, ultra-strong adhesive is used to bond and reinforce the gap in the middle. To prevent rain leakage and water seepage, the adhesive is applied in three layers to ensure a sealed effect. The manufacturer will pre-fabricate the positions of windows and doors for easy subsequent installation.

Installation and Fixation: Taking a 3*6 quick-assembly container as an example, during installation, first connect four corner posts with corner fittings and then fix them with screws. After each bottom beam screw is tightened, further secure it with an electric drill to make the entire structure more robust and ensure the safety of the house during use. Installation is like building with blocks, stacking and placing them layer by layer. This modular installation method makes the production process relatively simple, taking as little as three to five days or as long as a week to complete.

Thermal Insulation Treatment: Since container prefab houses can be cold in winter, thermal insulation treatment is crucial. Add 10cm-thick polyurethane insulation panels to the exterior walls. These extra-hard foam panels not only have good thermal insulation properties but also possess fire-resistant properties. When manufacturing polyurethane insulation panels, the manufacturer adds fire-resistant raw materials to further improve their fire resistance and ensure the safety of the house in case of emergencies such as fires.
