Hongkou District Mobile Toilet Plan
The Hongkou District mobile toilet plan is primarily reflected in the renovation project of sanitary public toilets, covering various aspects such as design, renovation, facilities, public opinion, and procurement.

Design Concept: Adhering to the principle of 'one toilet, one landscape', public toilets are renovated in combination with the characteristics of the surrounding environment to make them distinctive visual icons. For example, the 'One Drop of Water Public Toilet' at No. 588 Dongdaming Road in the North Bund Riverside Green Space incorporates water droplet elements into its exterior design, with a blue and white exterior wall complementing metal toilet doors. Inside, it adopts an ocean-themed style, perfectly blending with the natural riverside landscape. The public toilet at No. 258 Zhapu Road features a red brick exterior wall, echoing the style of surrounding historical buildings. The public toilet at No. 50 Kunming Road integrates a simple and modern style into the street-side green space.
Renovation Sites: This year, eight sanitary public toilets have been upgraded and renovated, specifically located at No. 588 Dongdaming Road (One Drop of Water Public Toilet), No. 258 Zhapu Road, No. 50 Kunming Road, No. 270 Kunming Road, No. 650 Wenshui East Road, Lane 303 Shanyin Road, No. 332 Dantu Road, and Lane 5 Taipingqiao Branch Road.
Facility Upgrades: Firstly, special attention is given to the needs of special groups by adding a third toilet equipped with high and low washbasins, baby care stations, and children's toilets. Secondly, intelligent devices are applied, such as installing touch-controlled automatic door systems and introducing wash-and-dry integrated handwashing facilities in the washing area. Thirdly, safety is enhanced by adding barrier-free ramps and handrails, installing alarm devices in each toilet cubicle, and displaying real-time toilet usage times on outdoor smart screens.
Public Opinion Integration: The renovation of public toilets in residential areas emphasizes practicality and public opinion. During the preliminary renovation stage, adjustments are made to the toilet entrance passages and signage are set up based on the opinions of local streets and nearby residents. During the preparation of the renovation plan and the construction process, opinions are widely solicited through multiple channels. Priority is given to renovating public toilets with high foot traffic and outdated facilities, and optimizations are made in a timely manner based on resident feedback, such as resolving the issue of the overly heavy sliding door in the third toilet at the Wenshui East Road public toilet.
Project Procurement: There are relevant procurement situations for mobile toilet projects, such as the mobile toilet project in the passageway at No. 345 Guangyue Road managed by the Hongkou District Environmental Sanitation Management Center in Shanghai. The supplier is Shanghai Huahaoyuanyi Biotechnology Co., Ltd., with a winning (transaction) amount of RMB 196,606.44. The main items procured are a batch of mobile toilet facilities and equipment.
