Construction of Home Small Mobile Toilets

Admin October 08, 2026

The following construction methods can be referred to for home small mobile toilets:

Making a Basic Mobile Toilet Using a Water Storage Barrel

First, prepare a water storage barrel and split it in half with an angle grinder. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a suitably sized wooden board to facilitate the subsequent movement of the toilet. Then, fix wooden strips and self-tapping screws on the upper side of the barrel to increase the height and provide space for installing other components. Cut an opening at an appropriate position on the side of the water storage barrel, install sponge strips to form a door frame, and embed plastic soft boards to create raised walls, providing some shelter and privacy protection. Place the upper half of the water storage barrel on top of the wooden strips as the roof. To enhance aesthetics, you can apply white waterproof paint on the surface.

Use foam strips to拼接 (assemble) discarded honeycomb wooden boards to make a simple door. Cut an opening at the bottom of the barrel and install a drain pipe to form a floor drain for easy sewage discharge. Cut holes on the side and bottom of the plastic barrel, connect direct joints, and place them on the roof to form a small water storage device for storing flushing water. Connect a water pipe-made bath heater, install a three-way joint below the water inlet pipe to connect a showerhead, meeting basic bathing needs. Place a toilet and install a water tank, fix it with glass glue to ensure the toilet is stable. Connect the drain pipe to the sewage barrel, and horizontally connect a water pipe from the three-way joint of the outlet pipe to the door as the water inlet pipe for the sink, achieving rational utilization of water resources. Cut holes on the door and install joints to facilitate the connection of faucets and other devices.

Making a Simple Mobile Toilet Using a Water Storage Tank and a Pallet

Prepare a water storage tank and a suitably sized pallet. Fix a universal wheel at each of the four corners at the bottom of the pallet with tools to make the entire structure movable. Place the water storage tank on the pallet. You can make simple modifications to the water storage tank according to actual needs, such as cutting an opening on the side to install a faucet as a hand-washing water source or connecting it to the toilet water tank as a flushing water source. This construction method is relatively simple and is suitable for families with low functional requirements, limited budgets, and small spaces.
