Prefabricated Railings for Home Houses
Admin September 18, 2026
Prefabricated railings for home houses can be made by pouring cement into homemade molds. This method is simple and quick, suitable for rural self-built houses or home renovation and remodeling scenarios.

Specific Operation Steps
- Mold Pretreatment: Evenly brush a layer of waste engine oil inside the homemade mold. This step is crucial. Waste engine oil acts as a lubricant, preventing the cement mortar from adhering to the mold and facilitating subsequent mold removal. If the mold is not treated in this way, the cement mortar will tightly adhere to the mold, making mold removal difficult and even damaging the surface of the railing.
- Steel Bar Implantation: After determining the installation position of the railing, drill holes at the corresponding positions and then implant steel bars into the holes. The function of steel bars is to enhance the strength and stability of the railing, enabling it to withstand certain external forces without being easily damaged. Generally, the specifications and quantity of steel bars should be determined according to the size and usage requirements of the railing to ensure that the railing has sufficient load-bearing capacity.
- Mold Installation and Fixation: Accurately place the mold with the railing in place on the position where the steel bars are implanted and fix it firmly with appropriate tools. The purpose of fixing the mold is to prevent it from moving or deforming during the pouring of cement mortar, thus ensuring that the shape and size of the railing meet the design requirements. Tools such as clamps and screws can be used for fixation to ensure that the mold remains stable during the pouring process.
- Cement Mortar Pouring: Slowly pour the well-mixed cement mortar into the mold. During the pouring process, pay attention to filling it evenly to avoid voids or air bubbles. After pouring a certain amount of cement mortar, poke it with a wooden stick inside the mold. This operation can reduce the air bubble holes in the cement mortar, making the internal structure of the railing denser and improving its quality and strength.
- Surface Treatment and Mold Removal: Smooth the surface of the cement mortar to make it more aesthetically pleasing. Then wait for 2 to 3 days until the cement mortar has initially solidified before removing the mold. Be careful when removing the mold to avoid damaging the surface of the railing. The removed mold can be properly stored for repeated use, reducing production costs.
