Admin October 11, 2026

The portable toilets suitable for the elderly and pregnant women in home bathrooms are mainly movable commodes, and there are various types and classification methods for portable toilets.

For home environments, there are movable commodes suitable for the elderly and pregnant women. These commodes have deeper toilet bowls that can better receive waste and prevent splashing. They are also equipped with handles for easy movement and handling, making it easier for the elderly and pregnant women with mobility issues to clean or change positions when needed. The design of the lid can effectively prevent odors from spreading, keeping indoor air fresh. Especially at night, when people with mobility issues get up to use the toilet, using such a movable commode eliminates the need to go to the bathroom, reducing the risk of walking at night and making it very convenient to use.

In a broader sense, a portable toilet refers to a facility that can be moved as a whole and placed at locations with fixed or temporary needs to provide toilet services for the public and customers. It generally consists of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, moving device, etc.

In terms of structural form, portable toilets can be divided into single-structure portable toilets and composite-structure portable toilets. The single-structure type is relatively simple and suitable for places with limited space or temporary use; the composite-structure type is more complex and has more complete functions, suitable for long-term use or places with high hygiene requirements.

According to the method of movement, there are lifting and handling portable toilets, which usually require mechanical equipment for movement; power and trailer-mounted portable toilets can be moved by vehicle traction or their own power, making them more flexible and convenient.

In terms of sewage treatment methods, portable toilets are divided into water-flush and waterless-flush suction portable toilets, circulating water-flush portable toilets, and dry-packing portable toilets. The water-flush type has a better cleaning effect but requires a water connection; the waterless-flush suction type uses suction equipment to treat feces; the circulating water-flush type can recycle water, saving water resources; the dry-packing type packs feces for treatment without using water, suitable for water-scarce areas. The design of portable toilets follows the principles of easy movement, economic durability; environmental protection and ecological friendliness; improving efficiency and promoting humanity.
