High-Rise Mobile Toilet Specifications

Admin September 21, 2026

High-rise mobile toilet specifications should integrate general standards for mobile toilets with the specific requirements of high-rise buildings, primarily covering design, safety, accessibility, and environmental protection, as detailed below:

1. Design and Layout Principles

  • Location Selection: Should be situated away from water sources, drinking water points, and drainage outlets to avoid contamination risks; simultaneously, consider the convenience of pedestrian flow, ensuring unobstructed sewage channels and no impact on the use of surrounding functional areas.
  • Structural Stability: The toilet unit and its supporting structure must possess sufficient load-bearing capacity to adapt to high-rise environments (e.g., wind and earthquake resistance); adopt rainproof, dustproof, and leak-proof designs, with waterproof and anti-corrosion treatments applied to key areas (such as the base and joints).
  • Fire and Electrical Safety: Equipment rooms should have independent fire separation distances; electrical equipment must be waterproof and shockproof, with cable laying conforming to the 'Low-Voltage Distribution Design Code' (GB 50054), and prohibited from being mixed with flammable materials.

2. Accessibility Design Requirements (Applicable to Public Areas)
If the mobile toilet serves high-rise public buildings (such as shopping malls and office buildings), it must comply with the 'General Code for Accessibility in Buildings and Municipal Engineering' (GB 55019-2021):

  • Quantity and Location: At least one accessible restroom should be provided on each floor, or an independent accessible toilet should be configured nearby.
  • Internal Space: The turning diameter for wheelchairs should be no less than 1.5 meters, with a door width of ≥0.9 meters to facilitate wheelchair access.
  • Facility Configuration: Equip with accessible toilets (with handrails on both sides), low-positioned washbasins (height ≤0.8 meters), emergency call devices (height ≤0.5 meters), and provide Braille signage.

3. Construction and Installation Safety Specifications

  • Work Permits and Protection: Construction personnel must hold relevant certificates and wear protective equipment such as helmets and reflective vests; when working at heights, safety harnesses must be worn, and safety nets should be set up.
  • Ventilation and Lighting: Adopt natural ventilation or mechanical exhaust (with an air exchange rate of ≥3 times per hour), with an illumination level of ≥100lx; warning lights should be installed at night to prevent collisions.
  • Vertical Transportation: Special lifting equipment should be used for high-rise transportation; when securing the toilet unit, anti-slip and anti-fall devices should be installed.

4. Environmental Protection and Discharge Requirements

  • Sewage System: Waste liquid (such as septic tank liquid) and solid waste (such as toilet paper) should be collected separately, regularly cleared and transported, and recorded; if microbial degradation technology is used, it must comply with the 'Standard for Pollution Control on the Landfill Site of Municipal Solid Waste' (GB 16889).
  • Odor Control: Activated carbon adsorption devices or ultraviolet sterilization lamps should be installed inside the toilet to reduce odor diffusion.

Note: High-rise mobile toilets should also be designed in detail with reference to the 'Mobile Toilet Construction Safety Specifications' and local standards, taking into account specific engineering conditions (such as wind pressure and seismic intensity), to ensure safety and practicality.
