Hengjiang Mobile Toilet

Admin September 24, 2026

The situation regarding the mobile toilet at Hengjiang Middle School is actually a toilet renovation project, which has significantly improved the toilet conditions for teachers and students.

Conditions Before Renovation

Previously, the toilet conditions at Hengjiang Middle School were far from satisfactory. With nearly 1,800 teachers and students on campus, only the comprehensive building was equipped with toilets, and the number of toilet stalls was severely inadequate, with fewer than 50. During peak times such as class breaks, students had to wait in line, which not only wasted precious break time but also caused numerous inconveniences in their studies and daily lives. More notably, the boys' dormitory was still using old-fashioned pit toilets. These toilets were not only outdated in facilities but also had extremely poor hygiene conditions, easily breeding bacteria and insects, posing potential threats to the health of teachers and students, and also affecting the overall campus environment and image.

Initiation of the Renovation Project

During a routine inspection of Hengjiang Middle School, the Second Inspection Team of the Xuzhou District Committee identified the aforementioned toilet issues and promptly provided feedback. With the support of relevant departments, the toilet renovation project at Hengjiang Middle School was quickly launched. This move demonstrated the importance attached by relevant departments to school infrastructure construction and their concern for the quality of life of teachers and students.

Achievements After Renovation

Now, the renovation project has achieved remarkable results. A five-story independent toilet building has been put into use beside the junior high school teaching building, adding 120 new toilet stalls. This change has made the phenomenon of students queuing for toilets across buildings a thing of the past, greatly saving students' time and improving their study and living efficiency. At the same time, the boys' dormitory has also undergone a complete transformation, achieving an integrated design for toilet, washing, and showering functions. This integrated design not only makes more rational use of space but also significantly enhances the hygiene environment. Students can now carry out their daily activities in a more comfortable and hygienic environment, which is beneficial to their physical and mental health.
