Help Me Move the Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

A mobile toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and set up at fixed or temporary locations to provide toilet services for the public and customers.

Suitable Locations

Mobile toilets have a wide range of applications. They can be installed at stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential communities, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. These places have a high volume of foot traffic and a concentrated demand for toilet facilities. Mobile toilets can flexibly meet the usage needs in different scenarios and effectively alleviate the pressure on public toilet facilities.

Composition Structure

Generally, they consist of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. Each part works together to achieve the basic functions of a mobile toilet. For example, the fecal sewage storage tank is used to collect and treat excrement, the sanitary ware provides basic toilet facilities, and the mobile device facilitates the overall movement and placement of the toilet.

Classification

  • By structural form: They can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. The single structure is relatively simple and highly independent; the composite structure may combine multiple functions or materials and has a more complex construction.
  • By moving method: There are lifting and handling-type mobile toilets, and powered and trailer-type mobile toilets. Different moving methods are suitable for different scenarios and transportation conditions. For example, lifting and handling-type are suitable for short-distance movement, while powered and trailer-type can move autonomously over a certain distance or be towed by vehicles.
  • By sewage treatment method: They are classified into flush and non-flush suction-type mobile toilets, circulating flush-type mobile toilets, and dry-packing-type mobile toilets. The flush type has a better cleaning effect but requires a certain amount of water resources; the non-flush suction type and dry-packing type are more water-saving and suitable for areas with scarce water resources; the circulating flush type achieves the recycling of water resources.

Material Development

Initially, they were made of wood, with a simple structure and function and were prone to absorbing odors. Later, they gradually developed to use materials such as fiberglass and polyethylene. For example, the steel-structure public toilet in Xining's mobile environmental protection toilet is made of metal carved panels, which have better durability and environmental friendliness and can adapt to different environmental conditions.
