Woman in Hefei Steals Mobile Toilet
A woman in Hefei stole a mobile toilet and has been subjected to criminal coercive measures by the public security authorities. Here are the details:

Reason for Theft: Xia, a 63-year-old woman, faced significant inconvenience in daily life due to the insufficient number of toilets in her home, which had a large family. Her 90-year-old mother-in-law took a long time in the toilet, further affecting the normal use by other family members. Under such pressing circumstances, Xia came up with the idea of stealing a mobile toilet.
Theft Process: On the evening of August 29, Xia accidentally discovered a new mobile toilet placed in a yard near Longgang Road. This mobile toilet belonged to Jiang, who manufactured and sold mobile toilets. Excluding labor costs, the materials and accessories were worth over 5,000 yuan, and the selling price was over 8,000 yuan. Xia, along with two other individuals, used a tricycle to steal the mobile toilet and transported it to a concealed location behind a makeshift supermarket she had built in a residential area several kilometers away on Heping Road. They also covered it with a white woven bag in an attempt to conceal the theft.
Police Investigation and Handling: After receiving the report, the police quickly launched an investigation and clearly identified the entire theft process by reviewing surveillance footage. On the afternoon of September 1, the police discovered the stolen mobile toilet in the residential area. During the interrogation of Xia, she initially made all sorts of excuses and refused to admit her theft. She even claimed that she thought the mobile toilet was old and unused by others and even shifted the blame to the gatekeeper. However, in the face of evidence, Xia finally admitted to the theft. Currently, Xia has been subjected to criminal coercive measures by the public security authorities, and the case is being further investigated by the Daxing Police Station.
Xia's actions not only infringed upon the property rights of others but also violated laws and regulations. Regardless of the reasons, one should not resort to illegal and criminal means such as theft to solve problems. Instead, one should improve one's living conditions through legal and reasonable means.
