Admin October 11, 2026

Hangzhou has mobile toilets equipped with disabled rooms. Here is a detailed introduction:

Mobile bus toilets purchased by the Xihu District Urban Management Bureau: To welcome the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Para Games, the Xihu District Urban Management Bureau purchased mobile bus toilets. These mobile toilets have five independent restrooms and one independent restroom for special groups. The independent restroom for special groups fully considers the needs of disabled individuals, featuring a specially designed electric wheelchair lift to facilitate wheelchair access in and out of the restroom, addressing the difficulty of navigating steps. Additionally, this restroom is equipped with a foldable baby care table, providing convenience not only for disabled individuals but also for parents with infants, reflecting a human-centered design concept.

New barrier-free mobile public toilets installed at the intersection of Zhijiang Road and Qingchun East Road and other areas: At the intersection of Zhijiang Road and Qingchun East Road, around the Shangcheng District Sports Center Stadium, and near relevant support hotels, the urban management department has specially installed new barrier-free mobile public toilets. These mobile public toilets are externally equipped with standard barrier-free ramps to facilitate wheelchair access for disabled individuals. The door opening and closing buttons are equipped with Braille guides, providing convenience for visually impaired individuals to operate the doors independently. The interior space is spacious, with barrier-free sinks, barrier-free urinals, barrier-free toilets, and other facilities readily available, meeting the various needs of disabled individuals. Additionally, they are equipped with emergency call devices, allowing disabled individuals to send distress signals promptly in case of emergencies during use, ensuring their safety.

The installation of these mobile toilets with disabled rooms reflects Hangzhou's care and attention towards disabled individuals, providing convenience for their travel and daily life in public places, and enhancing the city's level of civilization and barrier-free environment construction.
