Hangzhou Mobile Toilets

Mobile toilets in Hangzhou mainly include temporary mobile toilets, mobile scenic public toilets, and rentable mobile toilets, among others. Details are as follows:

Temporary Mobile Toilets

There have been incidents related to temporary mobile toilets in Hangzhou. For example, in a parking lot in Hangzhou, there was a well-equipped public toilet that was locked. The town government responded that it belonged to a temporary mobile toilet of the construction party. These toilets are usually set up to meet the toilet needs during specific construction phases or temporary events. Their use is temporary, and they may be removed after the construction or event ends.

Mobile Scenic Public Toilets

• Location and Opening: Located at the intersection of Qianchao Road and Sanxin Road on the Qiantang River embankment in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province (opposite Tianyuan Building on the embankment), it is the first movable scenic public toilet in Hangzhou, introduced from Xiamen and jointly built by the Jianggan District Urban Management Bureau under the guidance of the Municipal Urban Management Bureau and the Sijiqing Sub-district. It opened on June 29, 2019.
• Construction Method: It is produced and completed as a whole in the factory and then transported to the site for hoisting and installation. After connecting the pipelines, it can be used. This construction method makes the installation and dismantling of the toilet relatively convenient. Later, the location can be adjusted according to actual needs, effectively saving construction costs.
• Facilities and Functions: It is equipped with basic facilities such as urinals, squat toilets, and sinks. It also has functions such as playing music when the door is closed, automatic flushing when the door is opened, and deodorization and sterilization, providing users with a relatively comfortable and convenient toilet environment.
• Opening Hours and Planning: During the pilot period, the opening hours are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. As a pilot project, if the usage effect is good, the management department plans to add 1-2 or 2-4 similar mobile scenic public toilets on the road sections near the Qiantang River embankment to optimize the layout of public toilets in the area and improve the toilet experience for citizens and tourists.
