Loading of Mobile Toilets in Hangzhou

Admin September 21, 2026

The loading situations of mobile toilets in Hangzhou vary depending on their types.

Vehicle-mounted mobile toilets: These mobile toilets offer high convenience. Taking the vehicle-mounted mobile toilets purchased by the Xihu District Urban Management Bureau as an example, they have significant advantages in loading and use. Their design allows a single driver to put them into normal operation. During the loading process, there is no need for transport vehicles and forklifts for loading and unloading. This feature greatly simplifies the operation process and effectively reduces labor and time costs. For scenarios that require rapid deployment of mobile toilets, such as large-scale outdoor events and temporary construction sites, vehicle-mounted mobile toilets can quickly reach the designated locations and be put into use without cumbersome loading and unloading procedures, improving work efficiency.

Traditional mobile public toilets: Unlike vehicle-mounted mobile toilets, traditional mobile public toilets have a relatively complex loading process when put into use. Generally, they require transport vehicles and forklifts for loading and unloading, which not only consumes a lot of time but also requires professional personnel for operation during the loading and unloading process, increasing labor costs. In addition, some traditional mobile public toilets need to be connected to external septic tanks, which further increases the difficulty and time of installation. During the installation process, it requires the cooperation of three groups of workers with different skills, including transport personnel, forklift operators, and workers responsible for connecting external septic tanks and pipes. This complex loading and installation process makes the deployment of traditional mobile public toilets relatively slow, suitable for places where time requirements are not so urgent and there is sufficient space and manpower support.

In addition, under special circumstances, mobile toilets may also be accidentally loaded. For example, on May 11, 2025, a mobile toilet originally parked in the parking lot of the West Lake Scenic Area and labeled '24-hour Convenience' was mistaken by the driver as abandoned equipment and loaded onto a truck. At that time, there was a 23-year-old Hangzhou girl named Xia in the toilet. The toilet was driven on the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway for 38 kilometers and lasted for 23 minutes. This incident reminds us that we need to improve the management and labeling of mobile toilets to avoid similar accidents.
