The characteristic mobile toilets in Hangzhou mainly include two types: mobile landscape public toilets and 5G smart toilets.
The mobile landscape public toilet is the first movable landscape public toilet in Hangzhou. It opened on June 29, 2019, at the intersection of Qianchao Road and Sanxin Road on the Qiantang River embankment in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. This type of toilet is produced entirely in a factory and then transported to the site for hoisting and installation. It only requires connecting to pipelines to be put into use. Its greatest advantage is that the location can be adjusted according to actual needs in the later stage, effectively saving construction costs. In terms of internal facilities, the mobile landscape public toilet is equipped with a complete set of sanitary facilities, including urinals, squat toilets, and washbasins, meeting the basic usage needs of citizens. At the same time, it also has some intelligent functions, such as playing music when the door is closed to create a comfortable atmosphere for users; automatic flushing when the door is opened to improve usage convenience; and deodorization and sterilization functions to keep the air inside the toilet fresh and reduce odors and bacterial growth.
The 5G smart toilet stands out with its highly technological features. From the outside, it resembles a coffee shop or tea bar, with a glass exterior and a two-story structure, stylish and modern. There is an escalator at the entrance to facilitate access for people in wheelchairs, reflecting human-centered design. There is also an automatic beverage vending machine at the entrance to provide convenience for users. Upon entering, the clean and tidy environment is eye-catching, with basic facilities such as mirrors and washbasins readily available. Some rooms are also thoughtfully designed for special groups, equipped with toilets suitable for children and cribs to meet the needs of families with children; dryers and free mobile phone charging facilities provide more convenience for users; and the provision of first-aid equipment increases safety. In addition, the display screen of the 5G smart toilet can show the usage status of each toilet in real-time, allowing users to quickly find available toilet stalls. The glass walls of the toilet automatically frost when in use, effectively protecting the privacy of users.
