Upgrade and Renovation of Mobile Toilets in Hainan
The upgrade and renovation of mobile toilets in Hainan are mainly reflected in the improvement of service functions, enhancement of environmental protection features, and optimization of layout patterns.

In terms of service functions, a batch of mobile public toilets in Haikou have taken on a new look with more comprehensive service facilities. Exhaust fans, mirrors, sinks, lighting fixtures, ultraviolet disinfection machines, and more are all available. The lights automatically turn on when the door is closed, and soothing light music is played, creating a comfortable toilet environment for users. The barrier-free rooms are equipped with SOS one-click help buttons. After the upgrade, the steps of the barrier-free rooms have a gentler slope, and the interior space is more spacious, greatly facilitating the use by special groups. Haikou Longma Environmental Sanitation Company has renovated 11 mobile public toilets in Longhua District and constructed one fixed public toilet according to the latest fifth-generation standards. These public toilets have seen significant improvements in humanized design.
Regarding environmental protection features, mobile environmental protection public toilets in Hainan focus on flexible deployment and rapid construction, the application of core environmental protection technologies, and humanized and intelligent design. They are highly modular and movable, enabling them to be put into use in a short time and flexibly respond to various scenario demands. Water-saving and water resource recycling technologies are adopted to reduce water waste; fecal harmless and resource treatment technologies are used to lower environmental pollution; and green energy utilization technologies, such as solar energy, provide clean energy for the public toilets. At the same time, they are equipped with forced exhaust systems, automatic air freshener dispensers, etc. Some even apply intelligent monitoring systems to achieve humanized and intelligent design.
In terms of layout patterns, Xiuying District has adopted a "fixed + mobile" dual-mode approach to address the "toilet shortage" problem in Rongshanliao Village. New public toilets have been added in parks, tourist centers, and other places. Mobile toilets are regularly set up in areas with high pedestrian traffic along the coastal road. The toilets of village committees are also opened simultaneously, and the construction of fixed public toilets along the coastal road is being accelerated. Through various means, public toilets are reasonably laid out to meet the toilet needs of different regions and different groups of people.
