Gutian Construction Site Portable Toilet Installation
The installation of portable toilets at the Gutian construction site requires a comprehensive approach, covering site selection, foundation treatment, transportation and placement, pipeline connection, ventilation and lighting, lightning protection and grounding, as well as signage and safety. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Site Selection and Evaluation
Prioritize areas with high usage frequency, such as near the entrances and exits of living quarters and work areas, while meeting the following conditions: Keep away from open-flame work areas, material storage areas, and power distribution facilities to avoid safety hazards; The site should be flat and slightly higher than the surrounding ground to prevent rainwater backflow or waterlogging; If the construction site is near a river or water source, ensure sufficient buffer distance between the toilet and the water source protection area; Temporary roads should be unobstructed to facilitate the entry and exit of cleaning vehicles.
2. Foundation Treatment
Take different measures according to the ground type: For muddy ground, compact the soil and lay a 10-15 cm thick gravel bedding layer; For soft soil or backfilled areas, pour a concrete foundation or set up prefabricated cement piers for reinforcement; For hardened ground (such as concrete floors), check the flatness. During foundation treatment, reserve positions for septic tanks or sewage outlets to ensure smooth subsequent pipeline connections.
3. Transportation and Placement
Use professional vehicles to secure the toilet box during transportation, and use lifting straps instead of steel wires for hoisting; When placing, use a level to check the levelness of the box and adjust the pads in a timely manner if tilting is found; Unified command is required for collaborative work by multiple people to ensure safety; The door of the box should face away from the prevailing wind direction and avoid major traffic channels to reduce odor diffusion and personnel interference.
4. Pipeline Connection
Flush toilets require connection of water supply and drainage pipelines: Select PPR or PE materials for the water supply pipes, bury them below the frost line or take insulation measures; The slope of the drainage pipes should be no less than 2%, with tightly sealed joints and regular inspection for leakage; For non-flush toilets, ensure that the fecal collection containers are stable and well-sealed to prevent leakage or odor diffusion.
5. Ventilation and Lighting
Prioritize locations with good natural ventilation, and install exhaust fans or ventilation ducts if necessary, with the exhaust outlets facing areas with fewer people; If the toilet has no built-in lighting, install it in a well-lit location; For nighttime use, connect to temporary lighting circuits, select waterproof and explosion-proof lamps, protect the circuits with pipes and fix them firmly to avoid electric shock risks.
6. Lightning Protection and Grounding
In areas prone to thunderstorms or open construction sites, metal-structured toilets should be equipped with independent lightning rods, with the protection range covering the toilet area; The metal frame should be grounded, with a grounding resistance of no more than 10 ohms to reduce the risk of lightning strikes.
7. Signage and Safety
After installation, hang clear signs, including the distinction between men's and women's toilets and usage precautions; If near vehicle traffic areas, set up warning posts or reflective stickers around the toilet, and install warning lights if visibility is insufficient at night to ensure personnel safety.
