Guangxi Smart Mobile Toilet

Admin September 23, 2026

The smart rest station public toilet that has been completed and put into trial operation in Liuzhou, Guangxi, is a typical representative of local smart mobile toilets, boasting multiple features and advantages.

I. Construction Planning and Progress The smart rest station public toilet is one of the projects undertaken by the Liuzhou Municipal Government to benefit the people in 2025. The Municipal Urban Management Bureau plans to build at least 10 such toilets within the urban area and open them to the public free of charge by the end of the year. Currently, five have been basically installed, and the rest are under construction in an orderly manner. It is expected that they will be opened for use one after another before October 1st.

II. Appearance and Interior Design The smart rest station public toilet has a simple, elegant, and tech-savvy appearance. Its overall exterior is white, with simple line designs that blend well with the surrounding environment. The interior is well-equipped, featuring three gender-neutral restrooms and one accessible restroom. Inside the restrooms, facilities such as toilets, squat pans, washbasins, fresh air systems, and emergency medical kits are readily available. Meanwhile, the smart toilet system can monitor the concentration of harmful gases in the restrooms in real-time, ensuring a comfortable and safe usage environment.

III. Technological Advantages

  1. Fecal Waste Treatment Technology: The fecal waste front-end integration technology is used instead of the traditional septic tank in public toilets. This technology reduces the toilet's footprint, lowers construction time and costs, and allows for easy relocation, enhancing the toilet's flexibility and adaptability.
  2. Water-Saving Technology: By employing vacuum suction technology, these toilets can save about 90% of water compared to traditional public toilets, effectively alleviating water resource pressure and aligning with the concept of sustainable development.

IV. Functional Expansion The smart rest station public toilet is not just a traditional public toilet; it is also equipped with emergency facilities and commercial modules to meet the diverse needs of citizens, further enhancing the toilet's service functions and practicality.
