Gaolan Container House Installation
Admin September 17, 2026
The installation of container houses in Gaolan must follow standardized procedures to ensure structural safety and functional integrity. The specific steps and precautions are as follows:

I. Site and Foundation Preparation
- Site Selection: Prioritize flat areas with good drainage. Clear the ground of debris, stones, and other obstacles to ensure a solid foundation. If the ground is soft or sloped, it should be compacted or leveled to prevent house deformation due to later settlement.
- Foundation Construction: Design the foundation type based on container specifications (e.g., 20-foot or 40-foot standard containers). For lightweight houses, pre-embedded steel structural ground beams can be used; for heavy-duty or long-term use scenarios, it is recommended to pour a concrete foundation. The foundation height should be 20-30 cm higher than the surrounding ground to prevent rainwater backflow. Foundation construction must strictly follow the design drawings for positioning, ensuring a horizontal error of no more than 5 mm.
II. Container Module Installation
- Module Assembly: Use a crane to lift the containers onto the foundation and align them according to the design drawings. When manually adjusting, use a level to check the horizontal level of the module's four corners to avoid structural stress concentration due to tilting. The assembly gap should be controlled within 3 mm to prevent rainwater leakage.
- Transportation Protection: During transportation, secure internal subsystems (such as electrical wiring and pipelines) and keep corners or middle positions aligned with door openings for easy handling later. Maintain an operating space of 10-15 cm between modules to prevent collision damage.
III. Connection and Fixation
- Structural Sealing: Use high-strength bolts to connect door, window, floor, and wall interfaces. The bolt torque must reach the manufacturer's specified value (e.g., an M12 bolt torque of 80-100 N·m). Fill gaps with waterproof sealant to ensure airtightness and watertightness.
- Professional Interface Handling: Electrical wiring should be connected by certified electricians to avoid exposed wires; pipeline interfaces should be connected using hot melting or clamps to prevent leakage. Install protective angle steel at the corners of assembled walls to prevent damage from heavy impacts.
IV. Interior Decoration and Hidden Works
- Water and Electricity Facilities: Design water and electricity lines to be simple and practical, reserving sufficient capacity (e.g., it is recommended to use 6 square millimeter copper wire for the main line). The bathroom area should be waterproofed to a height of no less than 1.8 meters and undergo a 48-hour closed water test.
- Decoration and Furniture: Flooring materials can be moisture-proof wooden floors or tiles. Bathroom fixtures should be securely installed, and hardware (such as hinges and locks) should be made of stainless steel to prevent rusting.
V. Key Precautions
- Professional Team Operation: Installation should be carried out by a team with container house construction qualifications to ensure structural safety complies with the requirements of the "Technical Specification for Container Houses" (GB/T 36119-2018).
- Compliance Inspection: Follow local building codes and report to relevant departments before installation. During acceptance, focus on checking safety facilities such as fire exits and escape windows.
- Environmental Control: Set up dust screens during construction and control noise (≤60 decibels during the day and ≤50 decibels at night) to reduce the impact on the surrounding environment.
- Load-Bearing and Ventilation: Avoid concentrating heavy objects on the roof; two-story houses require structural reinforcement. Install a mechanical ventilation system indoors to ensure air circulation and prevent dampness and mildew.
