Research and Development of Mobile Toilets in Gansu
The research and development of mobile toilets in Gansu primarily focuses on materials, structure, sewage disposal, environmental protection, intelligence, and specific projects.

In terms of material selection and craftsmanship, tailored to the environmental characteristics of northwest China, high-strength fiberglass-reinforced plastic is used, which is corrosion-resistant and can withstand low temperatures. Some internal sections are equipped with insulation layers, ensuring a long service life. For color-steel mobile toilets, aluminized zinc steel plates are selected for their weather-resistant properties, capable of withstanding intense ultraviolet radiation and temperature variations. These are paired with light steel keels internally, ensuring strength while controlling transportation weight. During manufacturing, a complete anti-corrosion system is established from raw material warehousing to surface treatment.
Regarding structural design, modular design is a key feature, allowing for rapid assembly and disassembly according to different scenarios. Those used in scenic spots may be designed in an antique style, while those for construction sites prioritize practicality and sturdiness. The internal layout is flexible, equipped with squatting pans and toilets, and considers accessibility features. The manufacturing of color-steel mobile toilets is based on modular construction technology, breaking down the toilet into independent functional units, reducing on-site construction time, minimizing impact on the surrounding environment, and facilitating later maintenance and functional upgrades.
The sewage disposal system is a focal point of research and development for mobile toilets in Gansu. Many toilets employ water circulation systems to conserve water resources; some high-end products are equipped with automatic flushing and deodorization systems. For areas without sewer pipes, environmentally friendly fecal tanks are used, which are regularly cleaned by dedicated personnel. Currently, manufacturers in Gansu mainly adopt three sewage treatment methods: biological degradation, physical separation, and chemical treatment, with the system selection depending on the usage scenario and environmental protection requirements.
In terms of improving environmental performance, water-saving devices have evolved from traditional direct-flush systems to vacuum negative pressure systems, significantly reducing the amount of water used per flush. The integration of solar power supply systems enables mobile toilets to operate independently of the power grid. Regarding the resourceful utilization of excreta, high-temperature composting technology is used to convert organic matter into soil conditioners, achieving waste recycling.
Additionally, intelligent management is also applied, with sensor systems enabling managers to remotely monitor the toilet's usage status, inventory of sanitary supplies, and equipment operating parameters. Gansu Qihang Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. also has specific research and development projects, such as the R&D, processing, and warehousing project for intelligent freeze-proof mobile toilets and food trucks with light steel houses in Gansu Province.
