Fuzhou Prefabricated Assembled Housing

Admin September 18, 2026

Fuzhou has made rapid progress in prefabricated assembled housing, with notable achievements in policy promotion, rural pilot projects, innovative construction methods, and corporate participation.

Strong Policy Support and Clear Development Goals
Fuzhou actively responds to the national requirements for green building development. The provincial government has included "promoting green design and construction, and steadily developing prefabricated buildings" as a key task in the "15th Five-Year Plan for Urban Renewal in Fujian Province." In the first half of 2024, the newly started construction area of prefabricated buildings in the city reached 2.4568 million square meters, accounting for 49.1% of newly built structures, demonstrating the effectiveness of large-scale promotion. For the rural market, Fuzhou has issued a special notice, selecting Changle District, Fuqing City, and Minhou County as pilot regions for municipal prefabricated rural housing. It aims to build a group of livable demonstration rural houses that are "structurally safe, functionally modern, aesthetically harmonious, and environmentally friendly" by 2028, promoting the upgrading of rural housing quality.

Preferential Policies for Rural Pilot Projects, Stimulating Construction Vitality
To lower the threshold for farmers to adopt prefabricated construction, Fuzhou has introduced multiple incentive measures: By the end of 2027, farmers applying for new construction or renovation of dilapidated houses in pilot regions can enjoy a "green channel" for approval, a higher standard for homestead area, and encouragement for financial institutions to provide installment loan support. These policies work together in terms of approval efficiency, land use guarantee, and financial support, effectively mobilizing farmers' enthusiasm for participating in the construction of prefabricated rural houses.

Innovative Construction Methods, Improving Quality and Efficiency
Prefabricated rural houses adopt a "factory production + on-site assembly" model, where components such as exterior walls and floor slabs are standardizedly produced in factories and then assembled on-site through standardized construction. This approach prevents quality issues such as leakage and cracking that are prone to occur in traditional cast-in-place construction from the source, while shortening the construction period by more than 30%, significantly improving construction efficiency. For example, a pilot project completed the main structure construction in just 15 days through the assembly of prefabricated components, saving nearly half the time compared to traditional methods.

Corporate Technical Support, Driving Industrial Upgrading
Fujian Boyu Architectural Design Co., Ltd., as the first company in the province with experience in prefabricated architectural design, holds a Class A qualification in the architectural industry (construction engineering) and has provided design services for more than 30 well-known real estate companies such as Poly and Longfor. Its technical accumulation provides professional guarantees for the full-scenario application of prefabricated buildings in Fuzhou from urban to rural areas, helping the industry develop towards standardization and large-scale production.
