Fuyang prefabricated structural housing mainly includes two types: prefabricated concrete houses and prefabricated buildings.
Prefabricated Concrete Houses
In recent years, prefabricated concrete houses have gradually gained attention in Fuyang's construction market. Their components are pre-fabricated in factories and then assembled on-site after transportation. This construction method is fast, significantly shortening the construction period and meeting the demand for quickly resolving housing issues. In terms of material usage, cement and steel bars are employed, and through modern processing techniques, the generation of construction waste can be reduced, and resource utilization can be improved. Their scientific structural design effectively reduces energy consumption, aligning with the concept of green buildings. Considering Fuyang's temperate monsoon climate with cold winters and hot summers, prefabricated concrete houses can be optimized in terms of thermal insulation to provide a comfortable living environment for residents. Meanwhile, the mass production of prefabricated components achieves economies of scale, reducing production costs. This is reflected in the housing purchase prices, enabling more families to own homes at reasonable prices. However, the market promotion and consumer acceptance of prefabricated concrete houses still need improvement, as some people have traditional doubts about their quality and comfort.
Prefabricated Buildings
Prefabricated buildings are structures assembled from pre-fabricated components produced in factories at construction sites. They feature standardized design, factory-based production, modular construction, integrated decoration, and information-based management. They encompass various structural systems, including prefabricated concrete structures, steel structures, and modern timber structures. Compared to traditional on-site cast-in-place buildings, they offer advantages such as high efficiency, energy conservation, environmental protection, and a high degree of industrialization, serving as an important means to drive technological changes and industrial upgrading and transformation in the construction field. Fuyang City has established and put into operation 12 prefabricated bases, including 10 PC component bases with a production capacity of 2.9 million cubic meters, 2 steel structure bases with a production capacity of 340,000 tons, and another steel structure base under construction. The prefabricated building industry consists of a new construction industry chain centered around prefabricated component production enterprises, extended by standardized architectural design firms and general construction contracting enterprises, and supported by the application of BIM information technology. Over their entire life cycle, they can achieve approximately 40% electricity savings, 65% water savings, 25% material savings, and an 85% reduction in construction waste, with comprehensive construction efficiency increased by 4 - 5 times, meeting the needs of large-scale and rapid construction during the advancement of new urbanization.
