Four Container House Designs

Admin September 17, 2026

Here are introductions to four container house design cases:

Design with 2 Living Rooms, 1 Kitchen, 2 Bedrooms, and 2 Bathrooms: This design makes full use of four containers to achieve the goal of maximizing space utilization. Through reasonable planning and layout, the containers are combined into a relatively well-equipped living space, including 2 living rooms (possibly a living room and a dining room), 1 kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms, meeting various daily life needs. It is suitable for family living or integrated scenarios of small-scale office and living. This design focuses on the efficient use of space, dividing different functional areas within a limited space so that each area is relatively independent yet interconnected.

High-Aesthetic Container Renovation Case: This case is constructed using four 30-square-meter high containers. In terms of layout, two containers are on the ground floor and two are on the upper floor, with the four containers interlocking with each other. On the second floor, two terraces are staggered at the front and back, and the total residential area reaches 120 square meters. The functional zoning is rich. The ground floor has a living room, kitchen, washroom, laundry room, master bedroom with an en-suite washroom, balcony, and utility room; the upper floor includes a guest room with a walk-in closet and an en-suite washroom, a hall-corridor, a studio, a terrace, and a double-height living and dining area. This design not only emphasizes functionality but also enhances the building's aesthetics and uniqueness through the staggered structure and terrace design, improving the living experience.

Small B&B Hotel Design: Composed of four 6-meter-long containers, with two on the lower level and two on the upper level. The lower level is equipped with sanitary facilities, a technical room, a storage room, and a four-bed guest room; the upper level has four guest rooms sharing a single terrace, offering views of the river and surrounding hills. All rooms have small round windows connecting with the surrounding landscape. The walls, ceilings, and custom furniture are made of birch plywood, and the rooms are differentiated using natural linoleum in various colors, along with pure black industrial lighting and decorative details. This design is suitable as a small B&B hotel, meeting accommodation needs while allowing guests to better appreciate the surrounding natural scenery through the terrace and small round windows. Meanwhile, the use of materials such as birch plywood and natural linoleum creates a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

Eco-Friendly Container Building: A modular and industrialized house built from four containers, adhering to the concept of constructing low-cost and environmentally friendly buildings. The first floor is planned as a living space, and the second floor has 3 bedrooms. This design is simple and practical. The modular construction method facilitates construction and assembly, and at the same time, it conforms to the eco-friendly concept, reducing damage to the environment and waste of resources.
