Foreign Mobile Container Houses

Admin September 17, 2026

Foreign mobile container houses are manufactured using specialized container panels and processes, featuring mobility, rapid assembly, and other characteristics. They have a wide range of applications and have achieved remarkable export results in China.

Features and Advantages

Foreign mobile container houses are made using specialized container panels and processes, offering numerous outstanding features. High mobility: During transportation, their volume can be compressed to less than 50% of the original volume, significantly reducing transportation costs and difficulties. Rapid assembly: With a modular layout, they can be quickly assembled. For example, a retirement apartment consisting of sixty-three modules purchased by British merchants was fully installed on-site in just two weeks after arriving at the port. Safety and durability: The main structure is made of steel, providing wind and earthquake resistance as well as corrosion resistance, enabling adaptation to various harsh environments. Excellent sound and heat insulation: The air-gap thermal insulation design effectively ensures sound and heat insulation performance. Flexible and diverse appearance: They support stacking and can meet various specification requirements. A single set with a modular layout can also save nearly 40% in sea freight costs.

Development History

Building industrialization emerged in Europe in the 1920s, with Germany being the first country to achieve building industrialization. From the 1950s onwards, many European countries actively promoted housing industrialization, and this trend expanded to economies such as Japan and the United States in the 1960s. Over time, foreign markets gradually shifted the application of mobile container houses to the field of permanent buildings, with their application scope continuously expanding to include business offices, tourist villas, and other scenarios.

Market Situation

Chinese enterprises have achieved remarkable results in exporting mobile container houses. In the first four months of this year, Chinese enterprises at the Shenzhen port alone exported 1.68 billion yuan worth of "mobile houses", an increase of nearly 20% year-on-year. The products have been exported to more than 150 countries and regions, including the United Kingdom, the Middle East, and Pacific island countries. After purchase, overseas customers use them for a wide range of purposes, such as retirement apartments, hotels, and global data center construction. Chinese factories have strong production capacity. Huiyang, Guangdong, has the country's first steel-structure modular intelligent production line, capable of producing fifty modules per day, while similar factories in North America can only produce five per day. Longgang, Shenzhen, has a four-story vertical factory with an annual delivery capacity of 20,000 to 30,000 modules. The factories adopt parallel operations, significantly shortening the construction cycle and controlling precision to the millimeter level, leading to repeated purchases by overseas customers.
