Foreign-Invented Mobile Toilets

Admin September 20, 2026

Foreign-invented mobile toilets mainly include three types: fully automatic rotating public toilets, portable leaf-shaped toilets, and simple portable toilets for long-distance drivers.

1. Fully Automatic Rotating Public Toilets
The fully automatic rotating public toilets on the streets of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, are characterized by efficient cleaning and seamless rotation for use. They are internally designed with two toilet systems. When a user leaves, the cleaning process starts immediately: the entire floor area is flushed to ensure a rapid restoration of a hygienic environment. This design avoids sanitation issues caused by delayed cleaning in traditional public toilets through physical isolation and automated processes, while also improving usage efficiency through a rotation mechanism, making it particularly suitable for public areas with high foot traffic.

2. Portable Leaf-Shaped Toilets
The portable toilets designed by German designer Eva Tint prioritize environmental protection and portability. Their appearance mimics the shape of leaves and is made of biodegradable and eco-friendly materials. When folded, they measure only 12×28 centimeters and can be easily stored in a woman's handbag. They are equipped with super-absorbent agents inside that can convert liquids into gels and prevent leakage, with usage instructions printed on the bottom. This product first gained attention during the 2008 European Cup for solving the toilet needs of soccer fans. In 2009, it was mass-produced by German companies and entered the European market in sets of three, priced at 4.5 euros each. Initially targeted at female users to address long queues for public restrooms, it later expanded to scenarios such as car travel and outdoor gatherings. Cleaning wipes are provided for use, and after disposal, they can be treated as ordinary garbage without requiring special recycling processes. As the range of application scenarios has expanded, their portability and environmental friendliness have gradually been accepted by more male users.

3. Simple Portable Toilets for Long-Distance Drivers
The portable toilets designed for long-distance driving scenarios have the advantages of simple structure and low cost. Their main body is a detachable container that requires connection to a mineral water bottle as a liquid storage device during use, preventing odor diffusion through physical sealing. This design does not require complex installation and can be used anytime in the driver's cabin, especially suitable for scenarios such as long intervals between highway service areas or night driving. Although the functions are relatively basic, their lightweight nature meets the core need for convenience among long-distance drivers.
