5-Meter Container Mobile House

Admin September 16, 2026

A 5-meter container mobile house is not a standard specification. Conventional container mobile houses mainly come in 20-foot (length: 6058mm) and 40-foot (length: 12192mm) sizes, but a 5-meter length can be achieved through non-standard customization.

I. Specifications of Standard Container Mobile Houses

Container mobile houses are usually modified based on standard containers, with common sizes being 20 feet and 40 feet.

  • 20-foot standard container: The external dimensions are 6058mm in length, 2438mm in width, and 2591mm in height. The internal usable space is 5867mm in length, 2330mm in width, and 2350mm in height. It is suitable for single-person offices, dormitories, or small shops.
  • 40-foot standard container: The external dimensions are 12192mm in length, 2438mm in width, and 2591mm in height. The internal usable space is 11998mm in length, 2330mm in width, and 2350mm in height. It can be divided into multi-functional spaces or used as dormitories for multiple people.
In addition, there are 40-foot high-cube containers (height: 2896mm), which are suitable for exhibition halls or housing scenarios with height requirements.

II. Possibilities of Non-Standard Customization

If a 5-meter length for a container mobile house is required, it can be achieved through non-standard customization:

  • Length adjustment: Manufacturers can customize the container length to 3m, 5m, 6m, etc., according to the needs. For example, some cases offer non-standard sizes such as 3m×6m and 3m×8m.
  • Flexible selection of width and height: The width can be selected from 2.5m, 3m, 4m, etc., and the height can be selected from 2.6m, 2.7m, 2.9m, etc., to meet the spatial requirements of different scenarios.
  • Customization of functions and decoration: In addition to size, the positions of doors and windows, partition layouts, exterior colors, and interior decoration (such as glass curtain walls and wood grain finishes) can all be designed according to the needs, meeting personalized requirements for brand displays and cultural and creative parks.

III. Customization Process and Precautions

  • Choose a reputable manufacturer: It is necessary to confirm the manufacturer's qualifications to ensure that it has non-standard customization capabilities and a quality assurance system.
  • Clarify the details of the requirements: Specific requirements such as dimensions, functional divisions (e.g., office areas, rest areas), and decoration styles need to be provided so that the manufacturer can design accurately.
  • Consider transportation and installation: Non-standard sizes may affect transportation costs (e.g., requiring special vehicles) and the difficulty of on-site installation. Solutions need to be communicated with the manufacturer in advance.
