First-Floor Container House Design Drawing

Admin September 17, 2026

Currently, there is no direct provision of a first-floor container house design drawing, but you can refer to the following container house design cases for design inspiration:

A 15-Square-Meter Container Home Deep in the Forest

This case features a transformable open design with a front and back door, and a central door connecting to a patio. The roof corners are connected by lifting rods, and three solar panels are installed on top to fully utilize solar energy resources. The kitchen inside is in a straight-line layout with a natural wood color theme, featuring double-door cabinets and open shelves for easy storage and operation. The bedroom bed is foldable to save space, and the walls beside and above it are filled with cabinets to increase storage capacity. There is a small stove in the center of the house to provide warmth in the forest. When designing a first-floor container house, you can draw on its open design concept, plan the positions of doors and windows reasonably to ensure ventilation and lighting, and consider the installation of solar energy equipment for sustainable energy use.

Kenneth's 'Prairie Cottage' in the United States

This cottage covers an area of 16.6 square meters. Its outer frame is based on discarded containers, which are renovated with wooden veneers inside and out. The outer layer uses cedar boards, and the original iron door of the container is replaced with a four-layer tempered glass sliding door, which is both beautiful and increases lighting. Insulation materials are added inside, decorated with white wooden veneers, and wooden floors are laid on the ground, enhancing living comfort. The interior has clear functional divisions, with a custom-made sofa on the left, a wall bed hidden in the wardrobe behind it, and a brown small cabinet on the right. There are areas for the kitchen, office, bathroom, and dining room. The kitchen faces the dining area, which can also be used as a temporary office. The sleeping area is near the door, and the sofa can be opened to reveal the wall bed in the wardrobe, accommodating two people. When designing, you can refer to its functional division method, reasonably divide the space according to actual needs, and pay attention to the selection of insulation and decorative materials.

Other Case References

A Danish guy transformed a family-style residence using nine containers, designing a large number of large windows and retaining the unique corrugated metal of the containers on the interior walls and ceilings, adding character and lighting to the house. Architect Adam Kalkin in New Jersey designed and built a house using recycled containers, where the interior is combined with the exterior through huge glass sliding doors and interior house-like structures, enhancing the interaction between the interior and exterior. When designing a first-floor container house, you can appropriately increase the number of windows, adopt designs such as glass sliding doors, and enhance the house's transparency and connection with the outside world.
