Finished Prefabricated Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

Finished prefabricated houses are a new type of building form that adopts a modular construction model, breaking down the building into independent unit modules, which are prefabricated in factories and then transported to the site for assembly. They offer advantages such as rapid delivery, environmental protection and energy efficiency, strong adaptability, and controllable quality.

Core Advantages and Characteristics

  1. Rapid Delivery and Efficient Construction Prefabricated houses complete processes such as water and electricity installation and interior decoration in factories. After being transported to the site, they can be directly assembled, significantly shortening the construction period. For example, a project that would take several months to complete with traditional construction methods may only take a few weeks with prefabricated houses, making them particularly suitable for emergency housing, temporary offices, and other scenarios.

  2. Environmental Protection, Energy Efficiency, and Resource Optimization Factory production reduces noise and dust pollution from on-site construction, and material utilization is high with less waste. Some prefabricated houses use thermal insulation materials to reduce energy consumption, meeting green building standards.

  3. Controllable Quality and Standardized Production The factory environment is stable, and the production process is standardized, avoiding quality fluctuations caused by human factors in traditional construction. Water and electricity lines, decoration details, etc., are all completed in the factory, reducing the risk of on-site rework.

  4. Strong Adaptability and Flexible Customization Prefabricated house modules can be combined into buildings of different scales and functions, such as office buildings, hotels, and schools. Some merchants support customization according to needs, meeting personalized requirements, such as adjusting the layout, decoration style, or adding smart devices.

Market Applications and Export Situation

The recognition of domestically produced prefabricated houses in overseas markets continues to increase. Taking data from Huangpu Customs as an example, in the first seven months of 2023, 23 batches of modular houses were supervised for export, with a value of 548 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.3 times. Guangdong CIMC Construction Manufacturing Co., Ltd.'s products cover a diverse range of categories such as high-end office buildings and data centers, with a market presence in more than 20 countries including the United Kingdom and Australia, achieving a delivery value of 59.772 million yuan in the first half of 2023.

Price Range and Purchase Channels

The prices of prefabricated houses vary depending on the brand, craftsmanship, and scale. The basic packing container house costs about 4,500 yuan per set, prefabricated container houses are priced at about 40 yuan per square meter, self-built villa cement board houses cost about 300 yuan per square meter, and the包邮 (inclusive of shipping) price for an entire prefabricated house can be as low as 200,000 yuan. Consumers can compare quotes from different merchants on platforms such as Baidu Aicai, and some products support customization services, which need to be negotiated with the merchants.

Applicable Scenarios and Limitations

Prefabricated houses are suitable for rapidly deployed temporary or permanent buildings, such as post-disaster reconstruction, construction site dormitories, and tourist resorts. However, their transportation costs may increase with distance, and large modules require special transportation equipment, necessitating advance planning of logistics routes.
