Field Army Mobile Toilet
Field army mobile toilets are portable sanitation facilities specifically designed for field training, exercises, and temporary encampments. Their primary function is to provide convenient and hygienic toilet environments for military personnel while also considering the characteristics of rapid deployment and ease of transportation.

According to operational environments and mission requirements, field army mobile toilets can be classified into the following types:
1. Portable Folding Toilets
- For Individual Soldiers/Squads: Utilizing lightweight plastic or aluminum alloy frames, these toilets fold into a compact size for quick assembly, suitable for field training or mobile missions. Some models are equipped with sealed bags to collect waste, reducing pollution risks.
- For Medical Evacuation: Specifically designed for the wounded, these toilets feature handrails, height adjustment capabilities, and non-slip mats. They are used in conjunction with medical collection bags and can be easily installed beside stretchers or hospital beds.
2. Vehicle-Mounted/Shelter-Based Toilets
- Integrated into Military Vehicles: Fixed toilets inside armored personnel carriers, command vehicles, or medical shelters are often made of ceramic or stainless steel and connected to onboard sewage tanks. Some are equipped with vacuum suction systems to minimize odors and leaks.
- Trailer-Mounted Mobile Toilets: These feature a towed shelter structure with multiple toilets, sinks, and independent sewage tanks, along with ventilation systems. They are suitable for long-term use at large military gatherings or field camps.
3. Modular Field Toilet Systems
- Combination Units: Composed of multiple independent compartments, each containing a toilet, sink, and disinfection device, these systems can be quickly assembled based on the number of users and are suitable for brigade-level units. Some models use solar power for lighting and ventilation.
- Eco-Friendly Design: These toilets utilize biodegradation or composting technology to treat waste, converting it into harmless substances. This reduces logistical transportation pressures and is suitable for special environments like plateaus and deserts.
4. Special Environment Toilets
- High-Altitude/Plateau Models: Equipped with low-temperature heating devices to prevent pipe freezing, these toilets are made of materials resistant to temperatures below -40°C. Some models include oxygen ports for personnel suffering from altitude sickness.
- Marine Vessel Models: Featuring a vacuum design connected to the ship's sewage treatment system, these toilets are pressure-resistant and salt-spray-resistant. Some are equipped with anti-sway structures to adapt to the rough seas.
5. Emergency Support Toilets
- Rapid Deployment Toilets: Inflatable or prefabricated, these toilets can be set up within 30 minutes, suitable for emergency missions like disaster relief and peacekeeping. They come with sealed collection tanks for easy waste removal.
- Individual Emergency Bags: Lightweight and portable, these bags can be used temporarily with simple stands, reducing exposure risks in the field.
In addition, the PLA's field eco-friendly toilets have a volume of approximately 0.9 cubic meters and weigh 150 kilograms. They can be combined to form public toilet areas with separate facilities for men and women. Waste is decomposed by voltage, requiring no water for flushing and producing no odors.
