Famous Container House Design

Admin September 15, 2026

Famous container house design encompasses a variety of innovative types, and the following introduces different design directions:

Apple Pod Container Design

The Apple Pod uses containers as basic units and adopts factory-prefabricated assembled box houses. The main frame is welded from hot-dip galvanized square steel, with commonly used specifications including galvanized square tubes of sizes like 100×100mm and 80×80mm. The wall panels are made of galvalume color-coated steel sheets combined with insulation materials such as rock wool, glass wool, or polyurethane. In terms of appearance, the curved roof design and integrated metal wall panels create a unique form. The interior space can be freely customized and can be placed independently or assembled modularly. The dimensions are flexible. For domestic trade, the conventional size is 3 meters × 6 meters, while for foreign trade, the size range extends from 5.8 meters × 2.2 meters to 11.5 meters × 2.2 meters. The length of a single pod can be 3 meters, 6 meters, 9 meters, or 12 meters, supporting various arrangements, combinations, and stacking to meet diverse needs. Regarding climate adaptability, there are corresponding technical solutions for different extreme environments. For example, products for Hokkaido, Japan, adopt a multi-layer insulation system, with a comprehensive heat transfer coefficient reaching K ≤ 0.28W/㎡·K and a waterproof rating of IP66. Some solutions also directly embed customized crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules into the pod roof and exterior facade to achieve energy self-sufficiency.

Industrial-Style Container Coffee Space Design

It is created by combining two 8-foot × 8-foot × 20-foot containers, presenting a fusion of modern industrial style and urban vitality through clean and sharp steel structural lines. In terms of functional design, an open service area and sales point are set up in the front, while storage space is arranged in the back. It is also equipped with a restroom that meets accessibility standards. The interior space is maximized to create a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The mural on the front of the container adds an artistic touch and enhances the visual impact.

Giant Black Container Building Design

It is composed of 16 construction-specific containers arranged in a crisscross pattern and reaches a height of four floors. Each container is approximately 12 meters long, 2.4 meters wide, and 3 meters high. The standardized modular design allows for flexible stacking and splicing. The interior adopts an open layout that closely connects the indoor and outdoor environments. The combination of ancient wood and black steel creates a sense of both historical weight and modern simplicity. In addition to residential functions, this building also extends to multiple applications such as cafes and event spaces.
