How to Build a Factory Mobile Toilet

Admin October 05, 2026

The construction of a factory mobile toilet should follow these steps:

1. Material Selection
Prioritize materials that are corrosion-resistant and have high strength, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, or non-metallic materials (fiberglass reinforced plastic, FRP, plastic). For lightweight designs, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) wall panels or color-steel sandwich panels can be selected. These materials are both fire-resistant (Class A) and corrosion-resistant, making them suitable for long-term outdoor use.

2. Frame Fabrication and Surface Treatment
Accurately machine frame components according to construction drawings and connect them through welding. Metal surfaces should then undergo anti-rust treatment (such as spraying anti-rust paint or galvanizing), while non-metallic frames should be checked for structural stability. The frame should reserve holes for sanitary equipment installation and channels for electrical wiring.

3. Foundation Treatment

  • Foundation Compaction: After clearing surface debris, compact the soil layer using a rammer or manual labor, ensuring a compaction degree of ≥90%.
  • Concrete Pad: Pour a 10-15 cm thick C20 concrete pad, with an area at least 30 cm wider on each side than the toilet's bottom outline to ensure stability.
  • Drainage Design: Reserve a 2%-3% slope on the foundation surface, sloping towards a collection ditch on the sewage outlet side to prevent water accumulation.
  • Alternative Solution: For frequent relocations, prefabricated reinforced concrete panels or steel roadbed boxes can be used instead of cast-in-place concrete.

4. Main Structure Installation

  • Standard Specifications: The recommended dimensions for a single unit are 1.2 meters in length, 1.2 meters in width, and 2.4 meters in height, with an internal clear height of ≥2 meters.
  • Lifting and Positioning: Use a crane or forklift to slowly place the toilet main body onto the concrete pad, adjusting it to a level state with a spirit level.
  • Structural Fixation: For long-term use, anchor bolts should be used for fixation; for temporary use, detachable connectors can be employed.

5. Surface Fabrication and Sealing
Fix the selected non-metallic material (such as fiberglass reinforced plastic) to the exterior of the frame, sealing joints with waterproof glue to prevent rainwater infiltration. If color-steel sandwich panels are used, check for tight splicing between panels.

6. Sanitary Equipment Installation

  • Core Equipment: Install a toilet (or squat toilet), water tank, sewage pipe, and sink, ensuring smooth connection between the sewage pipe and the collection ditch.
  • Sealing Inspection: All pipe connections should be fitted with sealing rings to prevent odor leakage.

7. Electrical Control System Installation
Wire according to design drawings, installing lighting, exhaust fans, and intelligent control systems (such as automatic flushing devices), and conduct insulation tests to ensure electrical safety.

8. Final Integration and Debugging

  • Function Testing: Check if the toilet flushing, sink water supply, and electrical controls are functioning properly.
  • Sealing Detection: Close doors and windows and check for odor leakage inside the toilet.
  • Stability Verification: Gently shake the main structure to confirm there is no looseness or abnormal noise.
